#supersymmetry day 2 >> any toe stand. Nice to get up on those toes after teaching a class. High on energy. High on the toes. I wish you a day with really good energy! Make the most of it. Make it better in your own way. 🧘♀️❄️🌈🤸🏾♀️
Little helper 🐶 just before Natarajasana (king dancer) practice! Felt sooo rusty with this one...it’s always way harder when you don’t keep it in your practice 🤦🏼♀️ but thankfully G helped me through 😂👏🏼🐶
Spent an amazing night chasing the Northern Lights with our friends at @northernsouladventures. Hannah & Jeff are friendly, knowledgeable guides who go the extra mile to make the trip as fun and comfortable as it could possibly be! Northern Soul Adventures are an independent business whose attention to quality and detail really shines - if you’re in Tromsø and looking to see the lights be sure to give them a call. 💫
She felt like doing her part to change the world, so she started by giving thanks for all the blessings in her life, rather than bemoaning all the things missing from it. Then she complimented her reflection in the mirror, instead of criticizing it as she usually did. Next she walked into her neighborhood and offered her smile to everyone she passed, whether or not they offered theirs to her. Each day she did these things, and soon they became habit. Each day she lived with more gratitude, more acceptance, more kindness. And sure enough, the world around her began to change. Because she had decided so, she was single-handedly doing her part to change it. ~ Scott Stabile .
Absolutely love this 🙏🏼 YOU are the source of all change, and the world around you will bend to reflect your internal world and state.

I have a dream...
“One day all people will be good.” And my dream for you, is that you have the compassion to live among all types of personalities. The knowledge to lead the way and the strength to be the change you wish to see in this world.
Remember, sometimes adults require “Time Out’s” too...
>>> Not that I am claiming to be an “Adult”.😋😘☺️

Why do we use @jadeyogamats ?
Aside from being nice and sticky? Well...
Jade mats come from trees, and Jade decided to give back by planting a tree for every mat sold. And since 2006, through their partnership with Trees for the Future, they have planted over ONE MILLION trees so far.
Jade, you our boo.
Ever heard a yoga teacher talk about "love and light", "listen to your body" and stuff?
Yeah, thought so. And that's cute and all. But, you know... how about making it a little more educational once in a while?
I mean, to say to someone, in pain, to listen to their body, is... well, not always gonna give em what they need to know. Because all they want is to NOT listen because it all freakn hurts.
How about learning our students about pain receptors. About those tissues called fascia, that ALWAYS is involved in chronic pain, sports injuries and so on.
How about learning our students about how their bodies have something called cells. And that these cells are listening. All the time. And that cells need to be stressed and stimalted to be able to do their job.
How about not just say love and light and listen to your body if you don't really know what you're saying, and meaning.
Yoga is all cute and stuff. All open this and that and breathe into jada jada. Wonderful. But how about actually giving a F #*€ as a yoga teacher about what we're actually telling our students to do.
Because, us yoga teachers have a responsibilty of giving a F* #% about what we teach.
How about actually learning about the spine, for example, that causes 80 % of the people (at least in Sweden) to live with chronic pain. Pain that doesn't have to be there! Pain that doesn't just go away because someone says love and light and listen, listen, listen. To what they say? Listen for what?
How about that. Teaching people that chronic pain like lower back pain, fibromyalgia, whiplash and so on, doesn't have to be that painful. But it takes more than love and light. It takes action. It takes movement of the fascia. Hydration of the fascia! (No not drinking water). And it takes knowing this:
Moving and stretching a body in pain is not dangerous.

The first time many years ago I read about Auroville in India, I immediately thought this is where I want to be. Two of my dear friends are there right now experiencing the magic of this city where there is no religion, politics, currency - everything runs on their system of trade within the community. Everyone is equal and the meditation dome is incredible here where everyone goes and meditates for peace. If only the world could be this way 🙏🏽 📷 @kasiakayartprojects#peace#auroville
the copper cup || Drinking water from a copper cup upon waking is believed to help increase agni ((digestive fire)), in addition to reducing internal acidity and promoting healthy elimination. .
I just recently received this copper cup as a gift, and I’m in love. I fill it with filtered water before I go to sleep, cover it, and then drink it as soon as I wake up. >>> I love knowing that I’m strengthening my digestion this way each morning – and the fact that the cup looks beautiful is just a lovely bonus. #yogalife
Heels Over Head 🤸♂️🤸♀️ This is the first acro move I ever learned, way back in 2010 when I didn't know what acroyoga was. An adventurous yoga teacher I had taught it to me after class. And I've been sharing it with people ever since! #flashbackfriday

It’s not yoga, but it feels like it. Same concentration in the body, control of breath, attention to transition...and also improvisation, moving outside the mat, moving out of alignment.
I love yoga and it will always by my home, but there’s a whole big world out there 🌎 Let’s see what happens when I actually train outside of yoga.
Thank you @rebekahletch for letting me practice in your gorgeous space and only letting me take this ONE time!! My perfectionistic tendency would be to film again and again until I held that final zombie... but real time I don’t hit everything the first time I try 😂🤷🏻♀️
Ninja video skills by @mvmt_art who introduced me to movement flows 😘

The truth keeps coming this week. The wonderful @michellemalia_ connected with me about sharing my story on @vice. We chatted for a bit on the phone. As I told me story out loud it was unreal to hear it. But yet here it is. The world may now accept, judge or process. I’m not ashamed anymore. Im free.⠀
