Day 2 of #RLYglow is our first twist: a #revolvedboatpose/ #navasana with a bind! Read on for tips and additional variations.
1. Begin with your backbend from yesterday--see my previous video for additional directions. After your backbend, roll yourself back down to the mat, hug knees into your chest and rolly-polly yourself up to balance on your bum in half boat! In half boat, shins are parallel to the mat.
2. From half boat, cross left foot over your right. Reach forward with right hand and grab inside of your right foot. Important: KICK your foot into your hand as this is what keeps you balanced, whether you stay here in the half boat variation or extend your legs for full boat. Open left hand to the left for the twist, continuing to kick foot into hand. Exhale to come back to center, cross right foot over left, reach forward with left hand and grab inside of left foot, and again send other arm out to the side for the twist. Repeat as you like! Keep breathing.
3. After your twists, roll yourself back to the mat for one more backbend. After this, pause and breathe in a reclining position on your mat.
