Some days it takes everything I have in me not to lash out at everyone around me. I’m sure everyone has these days. And I know deep inside that I need to not let my frustrations show so as not to let the world know that it actually has had an affect on me. I know I need to have courage and be kind. But when everyone is intent on showing you the opposite, the waters tend to get rough. I never want revenge to be on my mind though I admit that I am sometimes guilty of thinking about it, but I never set my mind to it because where the mind goes the heart will follow. It’s all about self control and self respect and how much you value these things. For me, it’s what makes me who I am. I control my thoughts and actions, my emotions do not control me. And I respect myself too much to lower myself to another person’s standards. My point in sharing these things is to show that I am human and I admit to having my mistakes and faults. But I also intend to make it clear that I’m not settling for the current version of myself but I am working toward being a better me. I’m not finished growing and living and I don’t pretend to think that I know anything more than anyone else. I also understand that everyone is in the same place as me. Always growing and learning and experiencing. And so I try my best not to fault others in their mistakes and decisions. I ask only that the same courtesy should be given in return, though I know and accept that not everyone is able or willing to do so. #yoga#yogi#yogini#yogalove#yogalife#igyoga#yogagirl#handstand#yogaeverydamnday#yogadaily#practice#progress

Yoga is best healing tool I know and I cannot imagine life without it. After being in a traumatic car accident in 2016 and ending up in hospital for 10 days, it really hit me how we take life for granted and I knew I had to make some serious lifestyle changes. When I was released, I turned to naturopathic medicine, yoga and holistic living. I can gratefully say today that yoga changed my life. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to enrol in a yoga teachers course in 2017 which I completed in December. I am now a certified yoga Instructor and my goal is to use my qualification to try make a difference in other people’s lives like it did with mine. My aim is to promote holistic living and to inspire others to live the lifestyle they deserve.
I am incredible passionate about the practice of yoga and how it changed my life for the better. How eating organic, fresh produce can benefit the entire body. The benefits of being more mindful and gentle with ourselves and everyone around us.
I am so grateful that I can use my voice and the platform of social media to promote this business/movement/revolution to everyone out there and hopefully make a difference 🙏🏼
It was only after she saw the destination that the road appeared.✨

“The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing how blind that was.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere,
they’re in each other all long...” - Rumi .
How long has it taken for me to really understand his words?! Re-reading my old draft posts a year back and realized how funny it was the way I perceived this world. The love you seek is already there. Om Shanti ✨❤️
@elena_miss_yoga on So Many Standing Asana
• • •
With me and @re3life#re3#RE3life
In today's episode I summarized briefly the standing asanas sequence.
Now, a bit of history 📚
Ashtanga Vinyasa sequences as a story of thousands of years, and we really don't when, or where was created. Probably, the first practitioners were Vamana Rishi, and Patanjali. But, there is a little blur about that.
However, it was Guruji Sri Tirumali Krishnamacharya who brought the series to Mysore, in the early 1920's.
Krishnamacharya was exploring the Himalayas mountain when accidentally met Rama Mohan Brahmachari, who became his teacher.
In fact, the Ashtanga Vinyasa series was practiced by the Himalayans Monks to light up the inner fire, and keep them warm during winter time.
During an excursion on the Himalayas, T. Krishnamachary saw a man practising asanas semi dressed outside a cave.
He was enchanted by those moves. So, he tried to approach the man. But, the eremite didn't want company, and went inside his cave.
The morning after the man exited the cave and saw again T. Krishnamacharya. So, he asked "why are you still here? “ T. K. " I want to learn those moves" and the yogi replied "No"
The morning after:
"I want to learn" "NO" etc..
However, T. Krishnamacharya didn't give up, and after seven days of annoying persistence, the eremite accepted to teach to him.
The cave man was Rama Mohan Brahmachari.
The training went on for seven years and half.
Rama Mohan Brahmachari during winter time was teaching, and practicing the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence, and during the summer a different Vinyasa, where the poses were held for 3 minutes.
Apparently, I live in the perfect country to practice the Ashtanga Vinyasa 😂🇬🇧🇬🇧
Friday The next part of the story🙏🏻
Ground yourself in the present moment and stop looking forward or back. Life is happening N O W. •
Beyond grateful and excited to be a part of such a powerful group of people who have started such an amazing revolution. Here’s to changing the yoga industry one inhale and exhale at a time. #empowerthenow
I used to think that places changed, that they lost their charm over time. Every time I would leave and return months later, I always felt unusual, like I didn’t fit in anymore.
But then I started to realise that maybe it wasn’t the place that had changed, maybe it was me that changed. We are constantly transforming, we are never the same person we were yesterday and we will never be that person again.
Currently I am feeling like this, being gone for 2 months to Indonesia, a place where I used to live, and coming back to Byron has been hard. Finding my place again, and settling back in isn’t easy, but it’s all part of the journey.
We must keep discovering new paths, encountering new people, experiencing new adventures, and embracing each new moment because this is life, and life is a constant wave of change . -

some real-time headstand practice 🧘🏻♀️💫 never realized how much core strength head stands require! i only recently started practicing with my arms in this tripod position and it has helped SO much. it helps me focus on the actual strength in my body to get up to the inversion 🌱inversions help me to cultivate new perspective on the mat, which i can carry off the mat, and implement in everyday life 😌 ugh yoga is so amazing ✨🌷💘 #vegan#yoga
I will never never never forget the feeling when @aloyoga gifted us our own custom Alo jerseys at the retreat last year 😭😍🙌🏼🙏🏼 One of my most honored possessions I hold dear to my heart!❤️

Yesterday we ran around barefoot for hours and did yoga somewhere in heaven. I still don’t understand how there are miles and miles of white sand in the middle of New Mexico. 🙄 But I’m definitely okay with it. We’re headed to Tucson now where we’ll probably stay for a few days! Any recommendations for places to visit or campsites in the area would be very appreciated ✌🏼
This morning I woke up bloated, tired and just not in a great mood 🤷🏻♀️ just one of those days!
So I rolled out my mat, done a meditation, some pranayama and then just flowed.
For the time I was practicing, I was just with my breath. Just completely present and in the moment.
I left the mat feeling so much calmer, energised and generally in a better mood.
I’m so thankful I have found something that can help me on these days/moments. 🙏🏽
Now I’m ready to face Wednesday!! 💃🏽
