Reading challenge update: I am a little behind on the number of minute I've read for the month. I'm not sure if I will be able to get to the full 10,000. (That was a really ambitious goal I am now realizing.) I have completed 4,725 minutes though, which is still really close to the goal for the halfway mark.
Anyways, the books! I have really read some great books, and gone through some backlist titles that have been on my shelf forever, which is the greatest feeling. I have read all the books above, plus: Lincoln in the Bardo by Geroge Saunders, The Chroncicle of Narnia, Prince Caspian, Voyage on the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair all by C.S. Lewis, Bonfire by Krysten Ritter, Exit, Pursused by a Bear by E.K. Johnston, and Into the Bright Unknown by Rae Carson.
I feel like I've read some amazing books so far. Passenger was great. I love the world building and sweet romance, and I can't wait to dive into Wayfarer. Warcross might be my favorite Marie Lu book yet. It was amazing with twists I did not see coming. (When does book 2 come out???) Exit, Pursued by a Bear tackles a tough subject, but was so well written, and there is nothing better than books about girls who support each other and lift each other up. Finally, Into the Bright Unknown, I am so bummed that this series is over it is definitely a favorite, and this was the perfect conclusion.
"And now I’m looking at you,” he said, “and you’re asking me if I still want you, as if I could stop loving you. As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. I never dared give much of myself to anyone before – bits of myself to the Lightwoods, to Isabelle and Alec, but it took years to do it – but, Clary, since the first time I saw you, I have belonged to you completely. I still do. If you want me."
I miss Jace all of a sudden 🙃 andd the Shadowhunter world. I might do a reread soon 🤔
QOTD: TMI or TID?
- I LOVE THEM BOTH ❣️

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
After 2 weeks of complete hiatus, I decided to re-activate my online life.
The previous events were such a distress to me. Some events were dragging me down as I slowly fight my way up. I focused on my studies and I had an examination. Everything is finished now, and I hope everything goes well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today marks the first day of our semestral break and I'm ready to organize myself and some stuffs I've been meaning to do.
I had to take advantage of such gorgeous snow ❄️💙☃️
I have had the whole week of from work due to holiday, college break and snow days...so you know some reading has been occurring🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Not only does this book photograph beautifully, but it is one of my favorite reads as well! If you have not read Stalking Jack the Ripper by @kerrimaniscalco you should check it out!
What have you read lately that you would recommend?
Planning to reread the entire A Series of Unfortunate Events series this year and last night I read this, The Bad Beginning. I always forget just how much fun these are and how quick you can fly through them as a result. I read this in just over an hour and a half and as a result I’ve just started The Reptile Room, which is one of my favourites of the whole series. I at least want to have read up until The Hostile Hospital by the end of March as I want to have reread all the books covered by Season 1 and 2 in time for Season 2 to come out on Netflix.
5/5 🌟 Do you ever feel like you don't belong here, but instead belong 'elsewhere'? .
Genre: YA fantasy
Sorry for not posting in a while. Wanted to read the whole series and review it as a whole, but when I got to the end, some of the other books in the series didn't leave me with quite the same feeling as the first.
Book recommendation by: @l_cly
At first, I was a bit :/ based on its cover, but I'm so glad I ended up reading it! .
Review: This book kept me up at night, waiting to know more of the mystery that takes up 80% of the story. Karou lives double lives - sometimes something we all wish for - but as the story unravels, the reader realises that Karou herself has more questions about both her her lives than they do. This book is a real page turner, shrouded with suspense, and most importantly the question of: Why is Brimstone (Her Chimera foster father) making her run errands into dangerous territory to collect so much teeth?.
Good morning 😊
Today will be a good mail day 😂
Anyway, I’m at a point where I have so many great but unread book on my shelf that I’ve kinda lost track of what I want to read next so I decided to make a physical tbr pile on my desk and I’m probably going to regret it but it has to be done 😩 I don’t have any more room on my shelves anyway 😂
How is your reading going so far? 😊
Oh how I wish I had a physical copy of Red Rising so I could post about it for a week 😂
I’m almost 40% through and it’s so good I never wanna stop! I haven’t decided yet if I want to get the hardcovers or the paperbacks though which makes it impossible to buy a copy, or a copy of Golden Sun and that’s probably worse because how am I going to continue with the series? 😭
For me it’s always hard to get into Sci-fi but once I get the hang of it again it’s all I ever want to read!
What is your favourite genre? Besides fantasy because most of us love that 😅
“Many boys will bring you flowers. But someday you'll meet a boy who will learn your favorite flower, your favorite song, your favorite sweet. And even if he is too poor to give you any of them, it won't matter because he will have taken the time to know you as no one else does. Only that boy earns your heart.” 🌼✨ – Leigh Bardugo, Six of Crows •
Finish the sentence: Because of books.... 📚 •
I hope you all have a lovely day today! I'm studying this afternoon but I'll go see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri tonight with my mum and sis. 📽💕
