I want to tell you
about a masterpiece of art,
and if you’d know,
that piece of art is you.
I want to paint your picture
with colours you’ve seen,
and show you about beauty,
you’ve never known,
and I am sure, in this busy world,
they must’ve forgotten to tell you.
I want to write a song,
and put music,
about how you shine
like a distant star at midnight
amidst darkness and gloom,
how you are like a night flower
never stopping to bloom,
how you glow with an amber flame,
like a bonfire
throwing warmth around
on a snowy winter night.
I want to write a poem,
about how your hairs curve near your shoulders,
and how your slender fingers
the back of your ears,
while you try to put them away.
I want to tell you how your eyes
are my favourite,
and tell me so much,
that I am almost afraid to stare at them.
How your eyes, hide so much chaos
Like the wars never happened.
How your voice sounds so tranquil,
Like no one was ever killed
by the words of someone else.
I want to write a story,
about how you keep your secrets tucked in your hip pockets,
or you carefully pack your insecurities under your tongue, and manage to keep them behind,
while your lips sway in smile.
I want to tell you that you look
everytime I see you,
in your worries,
especially when you’re happy,
or dying to say something,
especially during the first smile
when you see me,
I want to tell you everything about
that you don’t say,
but before that,
I must tell you,
You look like love,
and like the girl,
whom the world forgot to say,
how beautiful she was.
So she forgot,
what she was,
trying to be,
what she did not want to be,
but, love, don’t you forget like the world, to tell yourself, in front of the mirror, that you’re beautiful.
She took off all her masks,
her armors of protection.
the wet blanket of addiction,
the heavy coat of perfectionism,
the sunglasses of shame,
the sweet scent of people-pleasing,
the lipstick of denial.
She exchanged the suffering for all the joy she could hold in her heart...
She remembered who she was,
she chose to be her.

I woke up today to almost 40K of you! Wow! Thank you for your love and support! I am grateful for each and every single one of you...Every day I am in awe of the goodness and the beauty this world keeps hidden in people's hearts...It is such a beautiful unfolding when this kindness comes out of hiding and blesses us all with its gift! Thank you for encouraging and inspiring me!
Some of you who have been following me for a while have asked about updates on my upcoming book: Unforgettable. Due to the fact that I have been terribly ill in the past few weeks, I have been unable to work on the book as much as I would have wanted to. Just two weeks ago, I decided to add a whole new chapter to the book and that will take time to write. Therefore, I am moving the release of the book to the Spring to make sure I do not rush through it and truly take my time so I may bring you something I am proud of. I will keep you posted on how things are coming along.
Again, grateful beyond belief for your love and support! As far as giveaways go (someone was asking me about that a few days ago)...I have never done a giveaway before as I feel they lack authenticity and usually people engage in them when a product is not selling well or when they want more popularity. I am very happy with how the world has received Words Unspoken and so do not feel I need to do a giveaway for that reason...However, once I reach 50K on here, I will put a giveaway together for purposes of thanking you and showing my appreciation for your unwavering support!!! Stay tuned as details will be released in the weeks to come ! 🤗
So block all
the evil that
wishes to devour
my words, hold me
close and make me
a part of your
energy, your reality.

It’s snowing in NYC, which means blankets and hot tea for me while I edit #TheMousaiSeries 💻☕️❤️.
I also haven’t run in a week because of this freezing winter weather and I’m going a bit stir crazy (treadmills just don’t do it for me😞). What do you do to get out of a winter slump??

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Happy 56th Birthday to Jim Carrey!
What's your favorite performance by him?
• Directed by: Michel Gondry
• Written by: Charlie Kaufman
• Did you know?
Despite the fact that Charlie Kaufman's script and Michel Gondry's visual concepts were closely followed, the cast members were allowed many chances to improvise. Elijah Wood and Mark Ruffalo improvised extensively, and much of the dialogue between Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet resulted from videotaped rehearsal sessions, during which, the two became close by sharing tales of their real-life relationships and heartbreaks.

YOUR FAITH IS GREATER THAN YOUR PERFORMANCE.
every now and then, i get caught up in my head. this morning was one of those days— where my mind kept telling me that i had to get everything right and make all the right moves in order to be the recipient of extravagant goodness + wild and wonderful things.
but, then — i took a minute…
and remembered, promises don’t work like that.
the promise is that God is going to do IMMEASURABLY MORE than we could ever ask or think in our lives. the promise isn’t dependent on what we can do for ourselves— how good we are, how smart we are, how creative we are, how talented we are, or how go-getting we are. rather, the promise that God is going to go above + beyond on our behalf is based on His goodness + His grace. nothing else.
this doesn’t mean that we are not responsible for getting up everyday + doing our best. rather, it means— there is grace in our movements. because, we’re not competing against anyone, we’re not ranked on a scale that says our performance can only grant us so much success, and we’re going to be okay if we make mistakes and fail along the way. we don’t have to have all the answers, we just have to receive the promise of IMMEASURABLY MORE by faith.
i’m a believer of working hard. but, while we’re working on our performance— we ought to ensure that we’re working on our faith, too. because, at the end of the day— being a person of great faith will produce more than your performance ever could.
so, i’m daring myself and you— let’s be the kind of dreamers who wake up in the morning + dare to have the kind of faith that doesn’t recognize impossibilities but instead pays notice to the infinite possibilities. let’s be the kind of dreamers who work hard but also allow God to position us exactly where we need to be in order to be the recipient of his lavish blessings.
it’s time to stop second-guessing yourself + start resting + trusting in the promises of God. the promise of IMMEASURABLY MORE is yours for the taking— but you’ve got to have the bold kind of faith to receive it.
