Please welcome Thor to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. From volunteer Dianne: "I know I have made this statement before, but today, I really do have the "most beautiful Bulldog I have ever seen." Meet Thor.
Today marks one of the saddest days in the life of Thor's mom, as she had to say goodbye to Thor. But, sometimes life takes a unexpected turn and what you thought was forever, was not. Thor did nothing wrong.
Thor, 3-years -old, loves people and has been raised with a small child. He loves other dogs, is crate trained, potty trained and came with his medical records. Thor's Christmas wish is to have a family that is active, with kids if possible. He hopes they have all the time in the world to play with him. Thor loves to play!
Fletcher has been adopted! From his foster momma: I am so full of emotion tonight! My heart is heavy, but it is also so happy and overjoyed!
After 10 months of being in my home, today was the day I prayed for, as well as dreaded. Today, Fletcher was adopted!
Fletcher met a lovely couple at Mutts Canine Cantina that was anxious to meet him. They visited with us, as well as other foster kids that were there that day. The following week, they came out to the house to see him again in his own environment.
This foster ma just fell in love with them and hoped and prayed they would want him. In just a few hours after they had left, my prayers were answered when I got a call from them telling me that they wanted to be Fletcher's furever family. Foster ma and and furever mama had a good cry on the phone together!
This morning, started like a normal Saturday. Fletcher refused to get out of bed because it was cold. After eating his breakfast, he put himself back in bed! I got a good a laugh when I realized that he had tucked himself in and had somehow covered himself up with the blanket.
Fletcher got his bath and I got him dressed. He knew something was going on and realized that he was going to get to go far a car ride! There are no words to describe how much this little dude LOVES his car rides!
One thing he didn't know, was that I had packed up all the wonderful things that were donated/given to him over the past 10 months in several bags. I packed a cooler with his goat’s milk/kefir and allergy shots in anticipation of today being his big day.
I loaded up the car and off Fletcher and I went to meet his furever fur sister, Roma the Boxer.
It took us an entire afternoon, but the two were finally settling in and getting used to each other.
Today, this foster mama is filled with the love that this beautiful season brings. Fletcher's Christmas wish came true!
