“Brown people, queer people, women; growing up in the PNW, those weren’t the people I saw represented in the outdoors. I didn’t see myself, However, I did see my mother leading us on the trails, teaching me to respect the land and what it offers, encouraging me to love it without shame. I instead saw who I could and hope to be one day. Genetics gave us the same heart condition, the beauty of the outdoors gave us the reason to keep going ‘one step at a time, no matter how slow.’” -Stephanie / @stephaniefaull

Just taking a moment to acknowledge what a freaking talented artist my buddy @jayy.rad is. He painted this up at Heybrook Lookout in less than an hour. Seriously rad man.
Ladies! I am hoping to start up a hiking "club" every month. I was inspired by the Instagram woman who hike and would like to get a group going on my current bucket list of hikes. It doesn't matter if it's just the two of us, or twenty of us. I just want to go! So if you would like to meet up for a hike every month I will put up some open dates I have and we can get started. Please either DM me or text me if interested. Thanks!

Caballero Canyon Hike.
AllTrails said it'd be 8.3 miles and 1300ft of elevation gain. However, after following their map to the letter, I got only 5.77 miles and 1,000ft. I'm alright with it though, still was an awesome Tuesday out in the Santa Monica Mountains.

We're halfway through the first month of 2018. I can already feel subtle shifts within myself. I don't know about you guys but 2017 was a tough year. I definitely felt challenged in every aspect of my life. The dust is starting to settle and I'm feeling optimistic about this year!
It's been literally driving me crazy that I haven't been able to get outside much. A hectic schedule and consistent bad weather was preventing me and just as both of those got better I wound up sick! .
I've been taking all kinds of vitamins so let's hope it passes quickly so I can start sharing my much needed adventures with you guys! .
If you managed to make it to the end of this post...I'm impressed you stuck around! Thank you! This is a throwback to the mountains on NYE...share your adventure photos with me using #advntureout so I can live vicariously through each of you 🙃
Some quiet contemplation on the shore of Loch an Eilein by @geologyleila - if any one was walking on the other side of the loch that day just after I took this photo, they would've heard us yodelling slightly rude words to hear the fantastic echos ring against the mountains 😂

Thankful for micro spikes and trekking poles. With the right gear and research on safety conditions we have found that just about any trail can be hiked year round! Ben is always extensively researching the avalanche warnings, snow depths, tide tables etc before we head out for the trails.

I believe in visiting places that make you feel small.
Frosty mornings in Yosemite ✨
Every time I visit this beautiful park I am blown away by its grandeur... by its never ending ability to leave me in awe and wonder. Although we had hoped for snowy conditions this time, I'm more than happy to settle for this 😉 I hope you're enjoying following my adventures through California with @nature_valley. If you have missed out on my daily stories, you can click the first "story highlight" on my profile to see what I've got up to! ✨ #Sponsored#Yosemite#California#RoadTrip
I've been dreaming of going back to Patagonia for over a year now... This is where I got into sea kayaking. I hiked for 8h (mostly uphill) with 50lbs on my back that day, so by the time I got to the refugio at Grey glacier, I was ready to cancel that 2h sea kayaking trip.
I'm really glad I didn't! Look at this view 😍 that was the highlight of my solo 3 week trekking adventure in Patagonia. Prob the most peaceful place I've ever been. Take me baaaack 💙 #lagogrey
Stairmaster in front of the TV or this? It was a revelation when I moved to Canada from Ireland and realized that exercise wasn't something everyone did to punish their bodies for eating too much on the weekend, but simply one part of experiences that create happiness in beautiful places.⠀
I often get described as outdoorsy or into fitness or exercise, but it's none of those things, it's life, it's just movement to create joy.⠀

Living in a big city like London means sharing the space with a lot of people all the time (I’m particularly thinking about the tube in the morning here!). So, you can imagine my joy and the sense of freedom, when we were the firsts opening the snowy trails and often the only ones around.
