It is my nature to be kind, gentle, and loving… But know this:
When it comes to matters of protecting my friend, my family, and my heart. Do not trifle with me. For I am also the most powerful and relentless creature you will ever know.

I was asked to sketch this for the cover of a sketchpad belonging to a very young artist.i didnt have my art supplies with me so i used stuff i found in a junk drawer, the bottom of my backpack and a stash of crappy pens..lol... I used a no2 pencil and a tiny piece of an hb pencil that was less than an inch long for most of it ,a cracked, tiny derwent light grey watercolor pencil for the highlights, for accenrs on the fur i used a small piece of just the lead part of a derwent blue grey watercolor pencil after the wood part fell apart on the first few strokes and a crappy near to dry micron pen for the eyes... Which started to leak , splashing ink over my hands, shirt and table...almost wrecked the drawing too...lol...it made for a great story and overall im pleased with the art....
There are only 3️⃣ days left to help protect the genetically distinct wolves of #VancouverIsland. The B.C. government is proposing to increase the wolf trapping season on the island in a misguided attempt to preserve deer populations. By the government’s own admission, this proposal is not based on science or peer reviewed data that would support the contention that wolves are causing a disproportionate decline in deer or other ungulates. There is no reliable evidence that #wolf populations have risen to an unnatural level. Wolves deserve protection and should not be exterminated because the B.C. government has continually failed to protect and recover enough #habitat for ungulates.
