It’s that time of year. In many parts of the country it’s cold, dark and gloomy. Heck, even the parts that are typically warmer have had some unseasonably cold days. While some love the snow, there are many of us who “feel” the cold. 😒 If Winter has got you feeling gloomy or “off”, I’ve got some good news! Over the next 12 days, I’ll be focusing on Natural Alternatives to beat those “Winter Blues”. 👏
Each day I’ll post some ideas on ways to naturally fight negative emotions and issues brought to us courtesy of old man winter. It’s time to kick his but and bring Mr. Sunshine back. Ok, I can’t technically make the sun shine, but there will definitely be tips to make your world a little brighter. 😉
Puppy snuggles are the best way to feel better!
Not sure if I’m coming down with something or if the weather changes are to blame, but I’ve had a headache for 2 days now😩 I skipped my workout yesterday in the hopes that extra sleep would help - and it did, for a few hours at least. That sucker came back with a vengeance 😞 Called out sick this morning from work and slept for 13 hours😴😴 Still not 100% but definitely better than I was. Plus lots of Fiona snuggles is helping 🐶
The winter blues are a real thing—but the good news is today on the blog I’m sharing a few ways that I beat them last year. It’s a random but fun list and I swear they are things that help! You don’t want to miss this one! #firstname.lastname@example.org
Thankful for sunshine on these cold winter days☀️🌬❄️
The January blues are starting to settle in a bit now that the excitement surrounding Christmas and the new year has passed....
We’ve got a little getaway to Ottawa planned with friends for the last weekend of this month, which I’m reeeeally looking forward to. Other than that, I’m trying to find ways to keep busy, while also focusing on the little joys to keep me upbeat and forward thinking 💭
Insta friends from cooler climates — How do you best cope with the winter blues? Any tips or tricks for your gal? 🤗
So here's a fun question... Do you prefer solid colored or paint colored horses? Bonus question: Why?

Cadence and Tess in a moment of quiet contemplation. Most likely contemplation about why they were hatched in the Midwest instead of say ~ Hawaii. On the bright side, ladies, it's going to be above zero this week!
