Latspread on fleeeek tonight, aye carumba... 😲 Surprised myself! 🙋 Last weekend my man did a bunch of release work on my back and holy cats can I see and feel a difference in how much I can open up. Cue the voice of Lloyd from Dumb & Dumber because - "I.Like.It.Alot." 😄 #FridayFlyDay#LatsGoVikes 💛💜 #GetItCuzItWasBackDay#LameO#VikesPride
How 2 eyes would pop out of a well-developed back like a cobra ready to pounce made me always love training it. No matter at what stage of my lifting career, these 4 exercises have remained staples in my back/pull workouts:
🔸Pull-ups (all grip variations, but mainly overhand)
🔸Bent-over row (overhand to hit the upper traps more)
🔸Deadlifts (Best erector spinae builder IMO ie. Christmas tree builder)
🔸1 Arm Dumbbell rows (uni-lateral exercise to fix muscle imbalances plus symmetry⚖️)
Each exercise has a purpose but I've prioritised thickness more recently as pull-ups have always been a strong point of mine (being a lighter lifter). To build a back wider than the Andean Condor's wingspan (google it lol), progressively overload on 2-3 key exercises over time and eat lots of good food.
