Go for the Pinot, stay for the Cab. This thing is a packed bruiser, deserving a steep decant–and an SOS-pad for your glasses. And, at 50 bucks, it remains one of Napa Valley’s great bargains. A brick wall of rich black cherry concentrate hits your face, flooding everything with sweet nectar and requiring a near-CHEW to dissolve towards your throat. Spicy green briar runs the gamut from carborundum to conifer while huge fruit, desperately attempting to evade the structure, wrings wet leather out on the sidewalk. You've had this wine, right?
Intro Tuesday!! It’s been a long time since I’ve introduced myself so. . .hey! I’m Anna. I’m a mom, a wife & mom of 4 fur babies & of course a photographer! I’ve been happily photographing families & couples under my own business since August 2012. Before starting on my own I was working for a photography company while going to college. I finished college with a double major in ESE/Elementary education & starting working with kids with autism. I absolutely loved working with them but still missed doing photography full time. While on maternity leave I started to go full swing into photography & I haven’t looked back since! I love my schedule, I love photographing new families just as much as my repeats! & weddings! Oh weddings!! They still make me emotional sometimes! It doesn’t matter if it’s just 2 or 202! Photography isn’t my only business. My hubby & I also own/operate @destininshoreguides with the help of some fantastic employees/captains. We all get so much joy at taking families like ours out fishing. Above we truly trust that God has a divine purpose for our lives & He is 100% the reason for our success. After all, we wouldn’t have success without a few(& some big) failures! Thanks for checking me out! Comment with any questions!
Things we cannot live without. What are your favorite wine pairings?

Fat tertiary leather and gaseous eucalyptus at the tail end of a firecracker gauntlet. Translation: Smells like banana and kerosene, tastes like dried blackberries and Tobasco.
These are NV, and used to be quite available--and popular around @pasorobles but am fairly certain defunct. I feel like this might be late 90's? At any rate, it should have been enjoyed 10yrs ago. I'm enjoying it, but any serious palate not addled with nonstalgia would raise an eyebrow. 13.9
I'm def lucky to be able to taste some amazing wines with my family, friends and customers,95% of the wines I try don't fall into that category.
We tasted over 20 new wines at the store today and only 3 of them will be brought in. An example is this Amarone that I brought home to evaluate. While it's perfectly fine and has good fruit, there isn't much of a finish. No one will complain at $30, but they're also not going to rush back to the store to buy more

Flavours of New Zealand in London ~ If any grape is central to New Zealand’s wine identity, it’s sauvignon blanc, now the leading variety in the country and the wine that dominates exports. New Zealand sauvignon blancs have no parallel anywhere in the world.(Beside Loire Valley) Explosive yet taut, they evoke a spectrum of fresh greens and tropical fruits. Second to that is Pinot Noir , the most widely planted grape in NZ and can produce spellbinding wines.
Over a year ago I started my side hustle as a coach. I rolled my 👀 with a head snap thinking are you crazy...what can I possibly offer people!? I was just trying to survive life and all the extra responsibilities on my plate!
You can clearly see I didn’t take it serious in the beginning. As I have been on my own health, fitness journey there has been so much growth and transformation. Not just physically but spiritually and mentally. I could have easily given up on my side hustle because I didn’t see any financial value but that isn’t the only reason I started. I truly love inspiring & encouraging others...especially those overbooked mamas! 👩👦👦 With this extra income comes hard work, belief in oneself, and a team of women who want the best for each other. I have been able to tithe more to our church and put money in our savings. If you are curious at all about what I do I would love to chat and invite you to our coaching event! 💙

Bleasdale Vineyards Bremerview Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2014, Australia
Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Strong fruity nose with black currants, blackberries, raspberries, tobacco, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, vinaigrette and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, blueberries, blackberries, cloves, vegetables, vanilla, spices, oak, earth, beef jerky, bitter herbs, dark coffee, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium on the finish with soft tannins and spices.
This is a spicy Shiraz from Australia. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing some low level of complexity. I liked the nose better than the palate here.

Big petrol coal-fire persimmon, dense and filthily fruited with all the sultry nectar chalky petrichor and bitter applesauce can muster. One of my favorite Napa Valley chards, and the REASON IS: it goes with red meat better than a lot of red wines.
Day 2️⃣/80 ✅ and I ❤️ 🍑 day #makethatbootywork
Personally my day 1️⃣ was rough. Not even the workout, but my whole day was thrown off. Fell back asleep after I ate my pre workout meal, went to the grocery store way too late for our schedule, fast tracked my crockpot meal which then turned out tough, and broke my favorite new decorative piece. Oh and then didn’t shower because I literally gave up by the end of the night.
But what made the day totally WORTH IT?!
Seeing my girls CRUSH Day 1 🤩😆
Not only in their workout, but telling me that getting up at 4:45 AM is helping them be more pleasant at their job, understanding that it’s not about a crash diet and being at the gym for hours, seeing results and having something maintainable and sustainable for a long-term lifestyle!
Like I’m floating and if it wasn’t for them I would have a consistent struggle on the daily.
Fearless Squad 👇🏼
You make it all worth it! So this #transformationtuesday goes to you ladies!
Join us and our kickass team! I have 4️⃣ spots left to start Monday! 📩😉✌🏼

1996 Château Talbot from #StJulien. A classically styled #Bordeaux, this wine showed quite nicely. While there’s prominent cherry and cassis, the interest here is in the cedar, cigar tobacco, rose petal, and old library book that’s found on the nose. Smooth on the palate, though the acidity sticks out a bit. There’s good length on the finish, and you’re left with an earthy resonance. For being so understated, this medium-weight wine leaves quite a nice impression. It needs very little aeration, and should drink well for several years, though there’s little reason not to drink it now.
Yes, Mounir maybe a "negociant" but his wines are definitely not inferior to the great Domaines of the Cote d'Or. It's always an interesting experience for me to taste his wines, which undergo very long fermentation and are aged on lees. This result in a high natural level of CO2 and allows Mounir to use minimal sulphur. The wines are never fined nor filtered.
As instructed by the back label, I decanted the wine beforehand to get rid of the residual CO2. Served in Riedel Veritas, the '12 Santenots was displaying ripe red fruits and delicate floral nose. Definitely very vibrant and quite ripe but still a bit young and should be more balanced in a few more years.

Tasting one of the greatest Rieslings from Alsace. The Grand Cru Rangen de Thann is the most southern vineyard in Alsace, situated at the end of the Route du Vin, quite isolated from the rest of the Alsatian vineyards. This vineyard appears in history towards the 12th century. It rapidly acquires a great reputation due to the exceptional quality of its wines. There is no doubt that vines were planted here earlier, however the first important transactions relating to parcels of this vineyard are only found in 1272 : according to a document from the Abbey of Murbach, the entire hillside of Rangen was planted to vines.
The Rangen was classified as a Grand Cru in 1983 and awarded appellation status “Appellation Rangen Grand Cru” in 2011.
