When we moved into our house in June, we had no place to hang any coats or bags as the mudroom fell to the list of projects we would finish down the road. To get us by in the meantime, we hung a few peg rails and called it a day.
The space is nicely tucked away by the back door and has lots of room for storage, so we decided to maximize the space, install more durable materials (paneling with semi gloss paint vs. drywall with eggshell paint), and add a little visual interest.
The vertical tongue and groove paneling, sleek hooks from @flowply, and the open bench below actually make the space feel even bigger. Looking forward to adding a shelf up above and possibly a cushion to the bench. In the mean time, I’m thrilled with the results.
