2017. You were full of highs and lows. But you definitely were full of opportunities I didn’t even know I would be able to experience. Many days were full of happiness and joy and other were filled with disappointment and defeat. Meeting incredible people along the way! Most importantly I spent it with the person I love the most guiding me through all of it. In 2018, I want to be better, I want to work harder and I want to travel to new places this year, even travel back to some past traveled locations. Comment below some of your favorite locations + fishery! #whatdoyoulivefor

So this is gonna be a shortened version of my #ignytereflection on 1 Peter 1 that I read last week during TAWG
I really expected it to be a normal time reading and learning more about God through the Bible, till God took me on a journey looking just at that 1 chapter how Peter and the Christians at the time knew what they were living for.
So starting with Peter, Peter showed that he was willing to venture and learn new things to advance God's kingdom. Going to the point of learning how to compose letters to the many scattered Christians at the time, this stood out as he moved from a fisherman who is invisible in society to a prominent church leader. Through the language it really spoke of how focused the letter was and how much had changed in him. His resolve and his reason to live really spoke to me through this, he was living for Christ and there was no way he would turn back.
Next God directed me to the scattered Christians, they were separated and likely faced danger as they found ways to follow Christ and find ways to get the letters from the apostles. It really spoke to me of their commitment and that they knew they were living for more than just the moment of life here on Earth.
And I hold now I'm learning to hold my hope and life with purpose for what's eternal. WHAT ABOUT YOU?
“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.”
