I wrote this blog post about a year ago, but it's one I refer back to when I need motivation in my life✨An adventure friend's recent post on inspiration made me want to revisit some old writings and share them with you❤️: I had an old friend message me recently and ask about how I got into living my life the way I do. It made me think about how it is that I do live it and what I seek out in order to keep doing what I love💕I definitely live for what I'm passionate about and not for money. I live for what I want out of life instead of my college years when I felt I was living based on society's expectations⛰I believe we can always make life work around what we love💫My first response to my friend was to say that I find the things that make me happy and do that. Then I thought about that🌨Of course, happiness is great, but it is not a permanent thing. We are always feeling different emotions, it's who we are, it's in our nature. There is so much going on in this wonderfully challenging world and we are the badass souls living in it. So we are meant to feel everything and that's what makes our lives beautiful🌎What I seek out instead of happiness, is what inspires me. What reminds me of my passions, why I'm here on this planet, why I want to keep working every day to do good, why I want to keep exploring and why I work every day to be a better person. Because if I'm always being given inspiration, I can handle any emotion. Of course the happiness is in plenties, because I'm doing what I love. But to be inspired helps your badass soul through anything & everything. No matter what you're feeling- happiness, sadness, exhaustion, frustration, if you have something that is always inspiring you, it fuels you through whatever state of existing you are in. It motivates you to continue your happiness, get beyond your frustration or reminds you that the exhaustion is worth it. If you live a life filled with inspiration, you feel you can do anything and regardless of the emotion, there is an always present fulfillment and contentment, your life always has purpose. I'm inspired by nature, travel, kids, teaching, spreading compassion, family, animals. What inspires you?

Chasing waterfalls at Mount Field National Park. Russell, Horseshoe & Lady Barron Falls. I was spoilt for wildlife too! 🙊
I have been making an effort to include more people in my landscapes. It is tough when you travel alone most of the time, but every once and a while the 10 second timer and tripod selfie turns out just the way you want.

The first snow of 2018 blanketed the upstate last week. After work on Wednesday, I made the trek to downtown Greenville a little before sunset. Here's one of a few shots I grabbed before the sun fell. Who else enjoyed the winter wonderland while it lasted? ☃️❄️
Adventures start where plans end.
As we left this waterfall it started snowing (much to my excitement!). However as we started driving to our planned destination, the snow got too heavy and we had to abandon our plans and turn around. Instead we went somewhere completely different and instead explored some new waterfalls and a little winter wonderland. It’s amazing how things can turn out.
What’s been your best unplanned adventure?!
New theme! I was secretly hoping waterfalls would win since this means I get to post some new pictures! I'm not sure if this beastly waterfall has a name or not but it sure stood out to me on the helicopter tour. Go check out my story to vote on what theme you'd like to see next.
Cascade waterfall in mission BC! Short hike less than a km that leads you to an amazing waterfall and a suspension bridge over the river. If you want more of an adventure you can hike up near the top of the falls and follow the river, normally less people up at the top so it's perfect for summer picnics!

Hey everyone! Here is a small sample of the images that we took on our Tioga Falls shoot. It was an amazing trip! We witnessed a massive ice chunk crashing to the ground which startled a resting eagle causing it to take flight and majestically fly overhead. Be sure to follow us for on YouTube to see some video of the trip that is coming out soon!

Last minute plans to snag a cheeky sunset with a couple of good friends back in Fall 🍂

My favorite waterfall, flows majestically into a river that blends with the ocean at the end of your eyesight.
almost two years later, this is still my favourite shoot. Epic conditions with @michael_yelkcub
