"Call it magic
Call it true
Call it magic
When I'm with you"
Once upon a time, there was a caretaker of Rinjani named Titi Kastura. He lived at the base of Mt.Rinjani, accompanied by a horse named Sembrani. The people of Sasak believed he has certain magical power.
After he passed away, the locals found this waterfall and realized that the rock formation on the upper-left part of the waterfall looks a lot like him.
Mangku Sakti in Sasak native language means "elderly with magical power".
And that's how it's called Mangku Sakti up until now.
Can u spot the face?👴🏼

PS: And that's also how the smaller waterfall under it (Check out my last post) is called Sembrani. Not the magical winged horse a.k.a. Pegasus though.

💧Here we are in the surroundings of Corleone, always a city of Sicily, exactly to the Cascata delle due Rocche.
☀ In this period here in southern Italy there is a lot of drought and it almost never rains, so water didn't flow in the waterfalls.
👟 Here I am, I wear moccasins because the exploration wasn't planned, but it was equally a good experience.
🍀 Hopefully in a winter with lots of rain and maybe I'll come back to see them full of water.

You can practically smell the fresh air through this photo. With some waterfall hikes in the Gorge still closed due to the #eaglecreekfire, now’s the time to explore new hikes like this one to Tamanawas Falls. 📸: @runnerinblack22
