Today I got back to Arran and got out a run. First of all I headed up towards Urie Loch but I got a bit concerned when it started to snow really heavily and I wasn’t sure where I was. I turned back, headed into Lamlash and along the trail towards Brodick and back. 15 miles covered in total in snow, wind, hail and mud, but despite the tough weather conditions, Arran has looked like a winter wonderland today. I’ve never been here when it’s been like this and I am loving it. This island gives me something new every time - today it was hailstones in the face, but the reward of Narnia-esque scenes.
