#humanforscale // During wintertime no sun hits this beautiful place, so the snow was still in a perfect powder condition. A great place to give my new 70-200mm lens an outdoor test run. Thanks to @renimueller for being a patient model 😊
Failed Selfie // This is what happens when i forget the camera remote in my hostel room. The 2s timer of my @canonswitzerland is just not enough. ⠀
Wasn`t my day anyhow, as shortly after this picture my tripod decided to loose one of its legs.⠀

While editing this beauty i listened to the song "The Uruk-hai" by Howard Stone from the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers Soundtrack. Pretty epic match with the picture, isn´t it?!⠀
Pure Swissness // This picture perfectly concludes what this country is about for me. ⠀
A ridge in the alps, a swiss flag and snowy peaks in the back. Is there anything typical missing in your opinion?

Autumn Ridge // I need to go to the alps again asap, snow shoe hiking and boarding ahead! ⠀
Snowy Ridge Walk // Did you got into bad weather during your hikes lately? This is definitely not the best position to get into snow falls. Luckily it stopped short after i`ve taken this picture. ⠀
Still i love this season of the year so much to go hiking due to the dramatic cloudscapes and more or less uncrowded mountains overall.
Finally. A yellow jacket by a lake. Am i a legit Instagramer now? :P⠀⠀
Not exactly the result i wanted to get up there, but due to the circumstances (see my last post) definetly worth it.

Snowy Hike // Right after the first snowfalls in the region we attempted to go for the famous 4 lake hike around Pizol. Unfortunately the snow was really wet so ascending got more and more difficult. As the fresh snow already started to melt and small avalanches went down above us we finally decided to turn around. ⠀
I noticed the magnolia tree at historic Gabriola House was blooming yesterday, so I pushed past the hedge this morning and got some captures before the rain started again. The house has been fenced off for years. Tragically, last fall, the body of a missing Japanese student was found on the grounds. My heart sinks whenever I walk past here. There is still a makeshift shrine of flowers and candles set up to honour her life. The magnificence of this blooming tree seems a fitting monument to Natsumi's young life, so tragically stolen from her. 🌸✨
