The 24’ “Peponi” tiny house by @perchandnest! What I love about this home is the tons of windows on every corner of this home—natural light everywhere! 🤓

Throwing sand in the air like you just don't care, till it blows back into your eyes and burns.
Although the van is an art piece in itself, we’ve always wanted something special for the walls. For the last 7 months of living in the van, we’ve been searching for the right piece to put up. Well, finally with the Christmas money we had, we were able to buy some art that really means something to us. On the right, a 2018 Moon Phase calendar by @moonbodysoul so we can continue to plan adventures by the sky. On the left, two beautiful pictures of the Leo & Cancer Star Constellations (our signs) by @blackandthemoon. It’s a small add, but it sure does feel a little more like home.
(Also, I obviously wasn’t paying attention and put the Leo one upside down... When I tried to fix it I scratched the picture so I decided to just accept my mistake as the clumsy Leo I am).

Thanks to the more than 100 Sitkans who came out to our Tongass Tiny Home Open House, and thanks to our partners who made the Tongass Tiny Home Project happen! It was awesome to share the hard work of the students in Sitka High School’s advanced construction class and to learn together about the sustainable young growth lumber they used to build the tiny home.
Contact us for more information on the Tongass Tiny Home, local young growth timber, regional youth workforce development programs, and sustainable housing!

We are making a lot of progress. The pine from the ceiling continues down the walls. The currently exposed plywood will be hidden under the bed. Our plan for the bed has changed from a queen to a full sized mattress in order to give us some storage space on one of the sides.
The floor is waterproof. That was very important to us for the build. We went with a reclaimed wood kinda look but in a rubber flooring material. Super easy to work with and shouldn’t really expand or contract with temperature changes.
Our first Noosa holiday home adopts the Shackpalace philosophy of hand built perfection in the imperfection. While most homes are built from materials synthetically processed from factories, Shackpalace takes us back to using natural materials in a way that accentuates the imperfections.
The home has been carefully designed to provide a unique holiday experience, challenging conventional living and inspiring a sustainable & healthy lifestyle with a focus on nurturing the mind, body and spirit.

The idea is to create simple, mindful living in a small space where we feel like we are curating our own path that feels truthful to us. 🖤

It’s been a while since I’ve done any artwork, it’s something I’ve always enjoyed and not sure why I ever stopped. It’s a passion that i’d like to pass down to Fox & Grizz, so I went to the hobby store and bought some canvas and channeled by inner Bob Ross with Fox, who now has big spots of black oil paint in his hair. Our first piece will hang on our living room wall

All sorts of things happening and taking place around here these days. Closer & Closer to getting @theskooly looking like a home. This took place the other day • my mom and her BFF came over • Joyce is reupholstering the couch & making covers for the cushions on the couch me & my sister scored a few weeks back • my mother is helping me fold all my clothes so I can go through them and donate & sell what I don’t need and keep and pack what I plan on taking with me. #itsthelittlethings#family#grateful#icantsewforshit#thankgoodnessforjoyce ❤️ <<SWIPE>>

"Feeling extremely cooped up lately, and in the spirit of spring cleaning(because winter just isn't happening this year apparently) and new starts I'm looking to make some changes in the trailer. Honestly, shits feeling stale and I'm needing some new new and beautiful to help with the newborn cabin fever funk. I can't put my finger on what exactly I'm wanting to change but I just feel the need! So seriously feed me all the ideas; shops blogs or inspo cuz I'm jonesin ✨ "

Since we’ve been on a run of master loft and bedroom posts, let’s finish it off with a final nighttime shot of this cozy space.
We have a king mattress up here (VOC-free 6” memory foam from Amazon). It was delivered vacuum sealed, making it easier to maneuver up into the loft space. We’re both short (under 5’8”), so we were able to turn the mattress “sideways” to maximize floor space in the loft.
There’s plenty of room for the two of us (A & T), and for toddler I to have her own space.
The DockaTot Grand was the perfect solution for us, as we returned to co-sleeping upon going tiny. She has her own defined space for naps and bedtime, but is still within reach as we work on night-weaning and sleep training.
In time, the DockaTot can be moved to her own floor bed. In the meantime, it works well for us at home, as well as when we travel.
For safe sleeping, we also rely on a hard closing loft door, a retractable baby gate, a soundproof curtain, and a Nest cam. With these tools, we can stay active in the main living space (great room and kitchen), while the little one sleeps.
Are you living tiny with a little one? What are your tips and tricks??
We are so excited for our Cub mini woodstove!
Shipping takes a few weeks, but once it's here and installed our skoolie will be ready to migrate south.

I couldn’t keep this one under wraps until it was done! We still have to put it all together and cut a top for it but we are so happy with how this is turning out! This front cabinet will serve two major functions, the most important is that it’s housing all of our electrical stuff- breaker box, batteries, Shore power, etc. But it will also serve as additional storage for things like camping gear, games, etc.
After this project we are moving onto the dresser and closet. Stay tuned for the AWESOME Craigslist find we picked up this week that we’ll be refinishing and installing in the ‘stream! 😍

Just put up Episode 8 of the Pallet Wood Cabin build. More fun with Dad, more pallet wood projects and plenty of laughs! Link is in my bio to the full episode, here is a preview
In the last post of the right side of our kitchen we had a few people ask about our range. It's an Amama 20" apartment gas range with four burners and a decent sized oven. For us it has really worked excellent, no complaints. For the oven to work you do have to have electric to it for the ignitor. We also LOVE our breakfast station (3-in-1 coffee, toaster perfect for 4 pieces of bread, and a griddle)!
