Fun fact: we had a wedding in Sri Lanka, and then another one in Germany. So I had the rare opportunity to marry my guy twice! The wedding in Germany was officiated by our best friends, and may have included a few #FRIENDS references... "As we give, and receive, and share in this love..." 😉 #intergroupcontact#interracialcouples#germany#srilanka

More of our London adventures, where we’re trying to discover more about our city, beyond the commute!
"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if only one remembers to turn on the light" - Albus Dumbledore ⚡
This may seem like a slightly melodramatic quote to depict a moment where I just a little bit cold, quite a bit hungry and a big bit not my gnomeal self. But as we came around the corner and saw the light reflecting on the Chapel like this 🔝, happiness was indeed restored!
I wish I could truthfully say the mood boost was simply due to the beauty of the setting sun on this gorgeous architecture (it was a little), or because of the many more Harry Potter-related venues we still had to discover (it was a lot). But the main reason happiness was found was because Nick discovered a slightly smooshed muesli bar in his bag. And by joves does this girl love a snack. Especially when she's hangry. 👯
What's your way of finding happiness during the darker times of travel?!? .
This is one of our favorite pictures from the Bali Swing 😍
This location has multiple swings and nests peaking over the valley and offering amazing views!

Got invited to be the fisherman's assistant! Do you fancy a job like this? :p
I got into Bangkok at 2:00 on my first day in Thailand. Obviously I passed out pretty quick but the next morning I woke up pretty early. So I decided to just walk. I didn't accidentally run into any large landmarks or tourist attractions. But everything seemed amazing to me. My mind was so open and aware. I couldn't believe that the trip I had planned and saved for had finally come. To a degree I still can't. What do you do your first day in a new city?
"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithless and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day."

Finishing up my Bangkok blog post which will be up this weekend instead! So sorry for the slight delay 🙏🏼 Can't wait for you guys to check out all the beautiful temples in Bkk 😍❤️ #Amegoesroundtheworld
you may have seen beautiful pictures like this before here on Instagram. But there's a dark story behind all of these pictures, nobody wants to talk about: this picture was taken in a so called Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala, but what you don't see in the pictures is how they treat the elephants 😣 I almost couldn't believe what I saw - elephants in chains being treated with sharp sticks. It's was so unbelievable sad to see and made me feel really bad. So I decided to document anything I saw via instagram stories to show the world the truth behind all these beautiful pics. Some of you may have seen it when I uploaded it some weeks ago. For you guys I apologize that I decided to upload the whole story again to show even more people what goes on in this place. Hope that helps a little to convince people not to go to Pinnawala - It's just a bad thing to do. For those who are interested, head over to my stories and see what I saw. •----•
