The view after finishing hiking up McKenzie mountain for 5.3 miles. Totally worth all the sweat and work for this amazing view at the end!

This was one of those moments when you begin to wonder if there’s a reason for it. A few summers ago I made the hike to a waterfall in the Adirondacks that my father took me and my brother to when we were boys. This little creature took quite an interest in me as I perched on a rock in the river with my tripod. It landed on me and my equipment several times over the course of many minutes. Then it went on its way, but not before leaving a lasting impression.
Are you interested in hiking and exploring the beautiful outdoors? If yes then this is the weekend getaway is the perfect adventurous trip for you!
This past September we ventured down to New York, United States to the Adirondack Mountains for a hiking weekend. We managed to peaked two mountains - St. Regis mountain (ascent 1260' - 3.3 miles) & McKenzie mountain (ascent 2220' - 5.3 miles). It was challenging but totally worth it for the views at the end! Despite the rain we got over the weekend we also managed to explore Lake Placid including the Natural History Museum of the Adirondak's and High Falls Gorge. It was a great way to end the summer!

“And I know a father who had a son
He longed to tell him all the reasons for the things he'd done
He came a long way just to explain
He kissed his boy as he lay sleeping
Then he turned around and he headed home again”

This night sky was so awesome to be able to witness. This was the night after the harvest moon, right before moonrise. A new goal of mine this season is to produce more night shots when the opportunities arise.
A huge thank you to @memiliomemilio for helping me experience one of the best vacations I've ever had, in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been able to visit.
