Unfortunately our elf had to stay at the North Pole today to discuss some things with Santa 🙄 so this ball pit is from a few days ago.

#6 Reason to vote for Dr. Feyi Obamehinti for SBOE 11 is her candor and commitment working with all stakeholders. As a former Texas State Advisory Committee member on the U.S. Civil Rights Commission, she understands the importance of engagement, input and conservative solutions.
Our class elf is cozied up with a great book in our library today! 📚

Our elf, Ginger, showed up with some good news today after my class had a sub on Thursday (and then were out for a weather day on Friday). I can't wait to praise my kids and find out about their Texas snow day! ❄️

#4 Reason to vote for Dr. Feyi Obamehinti for SBOE 11 is her expertise in curriculum standards. It takes the proper know-how and skill to set curriculum standards. She brings the experience and education of designing and writing curriculum not just for her own children (now adults) but for many children across the state.

We always try to have a ton of fun at the CORE. Our focus in on getting kids and adults to enjoy learning and realize the significance in educating yourself in something new.
We chose If You Take a Mouse to the Movies for our storybook tree and this is how it turned out! The kids had so much fun making the ornaments and popcorn string. I am definitely going to choose this book again next year!
For those of you starting Elf on the Shelf tomorrow- I have the PERFECT resource for you!! Pairing this journal with your classroom elf will encourage literacy skills AND good behavior! It's great for morning work or early finishers! Link in profile 🎅🏻❄️🎁

Our school does a "Storybook Forest" every year where each class picks a picture book and the kids make ornaments that represent the story to decorate the tree. This year we chose "If You Take a Mouse to the Movies". I die-cut some shapes and my kids used glitter to decorate them just like the mouse in the story. They had so much fun making all the ornaments. Needless to say, we're all going to be covered in glitter for the rest of the year. 🎅🏻❄️⭐️🎁☃️🌲🐀

I woke up with a stomach bug this morning and have only left my bed to sprint to the bathroom. I slept for 14 hours and now I'm going to try to get some work done. (i.e. Make sub plans just in case I'm out tomorrow too 😬) This will be my view for the rest of the day.

Check out this outline that I did for @pettyinpink11 4th grade class! Her message for her students this school year is a Malcolm X quote "Education is the passport to the future". I'm happy to contribute to my Soror's lesson plan for the year💓💚 I still have a few more slots open to contribute coloring book outlines to my friends in education. Email [email protected] explaining what you want your students to learn and a general idea of how a drawing could help your lesson plan! #backtoschool#texaseducation#coloringbook#sydvisuals
