Most favorite spaghetti with gochujang bolognese sauce & zucchini. Messy good!
My cousins and I have fond memories of our grandmother’s spaghetti. Not an Italian Grandma, just a wee South African one, carefully stirring a flimsy pot while we sat at her enamel top table after school. I’ve been trying for years to create that flavor and texture, not anywhere close. She always added a ton of pepper - today, Gochujang added gives the sauce a delicious depth of flavor and spicy kick that we love. Try some in yours next time!

I know I’m jumping the gun a little, but dreaming of berries + rhubarb + spring baking + gardening soon, soon, soon (right?!) This recipe is for the Whole Grain Any-Fruit Crisp (in the archives on the blog), perfect as it’s a template for whatever fruit’s in season now. Also: killer for breakfast (or second breakfast if you happen to have a small person person who wakes at the crack of dawn).
Kind of hard to decipher what this heap of food is so I will tell you. Sweet potato, brussel sprouts and chicken on a bed of lettuce with honey mustard dressing and fresh bread. 🥗 I had prepared a lunch for today but forgot it at home 🤦🏻♀️. Who am I kidding, this tasted way better.

#tacotuesday and the living is easy 🌮
Seriously, the easiest & most wanted meal in my household!
What is your most popular & easy meal? Because while my kids and hubby won’t mind eating this every week, I am an easily bored person 🙈 so I would like yo find more alternatives 💚
2 tbsp avocado oil (or oil of pref)
1 leek, chopped
3 cups of cooked pinto beans
2 cups of frozen corn kernels
3 tbsp liquid aminos
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Pinch of black pepper
Tabasco to taste - - -
12 Corn tortillas - - -
1/4 cup veganaise
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp lemon juice
Tabasco to taste
Heat the oil and add the leeks to sauté for 2 minutes.
Add a pinch of salt, then the beans & corn kernels with all the seasonings.
Let simmer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile heat the tortillas in the oven for 2 minutes or until soft. If you prefer hard shell tortilla like the ones in the picture, place each tortilla hanging on the oven rack, facing down so it takes the form of a hard shell tortilla 🌮, bake for 3 minutes or so or until ready and crispy.
Fill your taco shells, add a squeeze of like and lots of sauce!

Basically the food equivalent to sitting in front of the fire with a cheeky glass of 🍷 or booch.. whatever floats your boat. Savory pancakes yet again 🤗 Anyone surprised?! 😅 These babies are grain free and protein packed 👊🏻 I used @other_foods grain free pancake mix and added in @nuzest_usa vanilla protein for the perfect post run meal 🙆🏼 I prepped these on Sunday and then popped them in the toaster this morning 👌🏻 Also I ate 3 more not pictured 🤷🏼♀️ It’s so easy to think that when people post their meals that’s all they eat but trust me it’s not 💁🏼♀️ Always a great reminder that Instagram is just a highlight reel 💯 I got up early, got a good run in, and feeling good after this plate 😋 I’ve only got one class today but two tests later on this week so I’m getting my butt to the library for lots of studying 📚 Nothing too exciting over here!
