I’ve been saying this for so long and constantly tell people not to let these TIMELINES control, or shape YOUR life. The spirit of comparison is real and It’s hard not to do at times, trust me I KNOW! I’ve been there, but when you start living YOUR life, YOUR TRUTH and minding your REAL LIFE Business you will start to realize how FAKE and controlled those people you’ve been comparing your REAL LIFE to really are. It’s okay to #KEEPITREAL#BeTransparent#ControlYOURtimeline#LiveYOURlife#ItsNotaRace#TakeaBreak
Trying to do a better job making Sundays a day of relaxation and restoration.
Started with sitting in church with hubby for a full service (happens only once every few months between being helping in Sunday school and watching our babies in the nursery) and now enjoying the rest of our day with family time and ice fishing for the hubby.
Speaking of church, I will be speaking at our Thursday morning women's group on February 8 along with my great friend Leslie. She and I will be speaking on back health and ways to take care of our backs.
Please feel free to come join us for some free knowledge and snacks on Feb 8 from 9:15-11. Free childcare is available for those who need it.
If only our little people knew just how much these moments mean. The days when there is no schedule, no rushing around, no work, no school, not a care in the world other than living in the moment. We always seem to forget get just how important it is to take this time....whatever that time means to you. We can get so caught up in everyday life that it’s easy to forget that we all need a time out. They loved playing all day, building sandcastles, drinking strawberry daiquiris, watching water shows, swimming in the ocean, collecting seashells and as a mom it was pure joy watching them enjoy it all and truly living in the moment. One thing we promised ourselves for 2018 is to slow down a little and try to take more time to enjoy the little things in life because time seems to just go by too fast. What are some things you enjoy doing? #familyvacay#familytime#familygoals#sunwingmode#sunwingexperiences#takeabreak#beachtime🌴 #liveinthemoment#momlife#momblogger#vacationmode#takemeback
But winter is hard too, you know? It's cold and dark and it takes longer just to get dressed up and go outside. Scarves and gloves and boots and scraping ice off car windshields. Little things add up. Time outdoors is limited by a runny nose and red cheeks. A tinge of stress creeps in as I realize winter requires much more preparation, more patience than the beach. Wise advice received from my sister as I felt like I was crumbling a bit here in Montreal with thoughts of the future. Just treat myself, be kind to myself, take a little vacation. People assume travel is synonymous with vacation. No. Figuring out where to stay, how to get there, how to bring it all together elegantly while undergoing a constant state of 'newness', where roots can never take hold and novelty greets with every new host's door opening, every new bed slept in. Travel is like a forgotten muscle to work, one of consideration and wider vision. So here I am, Sunday morning with a moment to sit. I will take a break today. A moment of vacation via black coffee and chocolate croissant.
Today is a reminder to myself 😅
I am so good at putting everything I have into my work and the projects I’m working on that I forget to take a moment and breathe. ❤️ I know I’m not alone in doing this, so if your like me, this reminder is for you as well 😄 I think a lot of creative people have this struggle, am I right? 😜

Stop and smell... the flowers?🌸 Take a pause, a break, a rest. Yesterday, I didn’t post anything here. I didn’t spend time on social media (not even for work). Instead, I took the time to savor a historic Sunday at church and enjoyed spending some quality time with family, friends, and football (although I fell asleep during the game😄). When we were in primary school, we had RECESS (probably our favorite subject, right?). Now we have at least a few 15-minute breaks at work. And we have rest days or day off. Even God took a day to rest. Rest is that important.
So why don’t we take a break from social media? 🤔
Such a funny little dog. We were in the middle of a 6 hour walk, and I guess he got a bit tired. He led me up a path to this bench, hopped on up, sat down and just chilled for a while checking out the scene.
15 minutes later, as soon as his tired little paws had some rest he jumped down to let me know he was ready to go again.
Clever little fox. Clever indeed.
