@tamara.artts is a nice woman on the photo shot by a fantastic photographer @kjarakocbek
She is the one I met on our first #canicross competition in Maribor. The one who ran in front of me and Jeannie with her @chris_polar_dog, #husky - #malamute mix. The one who ended up being one of my students in SUP with DOG trip #dogcourse. The one who is a dear friend I don't get to see a lot.
This is what she wrote after working with me:
Sure we needed to try it out too – #standuppaddlingwithdog. I was surprised by his trust, as for the reason Kris doesn't like water. One year later I decided to visit an #advancedcourse , cause we had a very #positive#firstexperience and we learned a lot in the #beginners trip.
First i was in doubt cause of Suzana's ambitious program;), but with her help we achieved much more as i hoped to imagine. Again he surprised me as I saw him swimming from the embankment towards my distant #sup . As said before, he does not, well, he did not like water. We learned a lot of new stuff and useful tricks. Thank you, Suzi – u rock!
Thank you, Tamara, for being an inspiration! <3
The end of the year is a good time to pause and do some self reflection. A good time to look behind to what has happened, and then to look ahead for what is yet to come. Each year at this time, I ask myself these questions
The Year Past
What went well?
Acknowledge all the things that went well. The goals you achieved, the events and circumstances you feel good about
Who needs to be acknowledged? Think about all the people that has helped you and played an important role in your life. Thank them accordingly
How did you grow this year?
Did you learn, grow, and evolve? We should always be striving to be the best version of ourselves
What’s not working?
This one is hard because we come to realize and admit to ourselves that things just aren’t working out even if we try our hardest. Sometimes we just need to give up, let it go, and find other ways
The New Year Ahead:
What thresholds are you crossing?
Things that we need to prepare for. This will help sharpen our focus on what we need to plan to help you get ready. Sometimes the unexpected happens, but in the end we will be ok
Who will you connect with more?
We get so caught up in a whirlwind of things that we lose touch with meaningful people. Take a break, get some fresh air even if it’s short
What kind of roles do you want to be?
We play so many different roles in our lives at work, home, community, and in relationships. Which roles do you want to be better in? Make time to give more meaningful and frequent feedback, connect authentically, and become a better listener
What do you want and how to implement it?
It’s time to think and write out your goals, dreams, and possibilities for the new year. Naming the goals are a start, but you also have to back it up with a plan, commitment, and action!

Stand up paddling with dogs takes balance to a new level. SUP tour with @turtlebayresort adventure guide Rocky Canon (former pipeline surfing master and super cool dude). Fun way to get out onto the water. This hidden beach along the North Shore is also where they filmed some scenes for the TV show Lost.
