The Stone House at Maibang, the reamins of Dimasa Kachari kingdom.. Fulfilled the dream of visiting this place which was preserved since when I got to study about this place in my primary level textbooks. And I must also mention that the scenery along the road is just mesmerizing. 😊😁🤘 #soloride#stonehouse#kacharikingdom#maibang#dimahasao#assam#nh27

Weather has been kind and allowed progress on the roof. but it is bitterly cold on the hands . The huge slate tiles are all stacked orderly, neatly in size ( need a de Moss though) So far only one unexpected but "expected" extra work doobry discovered, with 2 of the front A frame feets, literally hanging in mid air....we have caught the roof just in time. The A frames we knew about for showing damage, will be repaired using an oak beam that's been chained sawed out of the main living area, so it's still in the house 😊 ( we were removing it anyway to open the space up to the roof ) Nothing super exciting found in the walls so far, just a bat, a fragment of a cooking pot, a photo of mountains and.... a mummified pigs trotter 😮
We're at that stage were you walk about looking at the house thinking , wow, so much work !! Just gotta keep shifting that rubble 💪💪 one way of loosing weight !!!I'm officially living on a building site 😀😂
Built more than 200 years ago, this stone manor has been meticulously restored over the years. Visitors can walk the stone pathway leading to the entrance of the home, which features brick flooring, wood-beamed ceiling, French doors, multiple fireplaces, and lush backyard. What do you think?⠀
