Huge fan off #gitzotripods I’m going thru all my gear selection now, trying to make everything as light and portable as possible for #solokayaking. This is a great tripod but I’m still trying to go as light as possible. I’ll show to guys a #gitzotravellerseries tripod as soon as I can. Super light weight and I’m also checking out #gitzosaltwaterseries tripods. Don’t get me wrong, my #Mefototripod is absolutely brilliant but it’s never been in saltwater conditions, but it’s definitely going to be. #westcoastvancouverisland is absolutely stunning as is #ucluelet & #tofino, whole different mind set on #vancouverisland. I’ve just got to slow down now. Now that everything’s cleared for me to get back on the saltwater and start to focus on how I’m going to get this 6 week trip down. 👍🇨🇦. Don’t ever let Brand names fool you into thinking that’s what you need with all the advertising going on. Buy what you can afford folks. 🇨🇦👍

Checking out new tripods at #vistek. I’ve always loved #gitzotripods. This is a older model but it’s still brilliantly made. Still a little heavy for my #solokayaking on the #westcoastcancouver and #ucluelet#tofino but it’ll definitely work if your not to worried about weight or salt water. They don’t come with a centre column. That’s the thing of a jig the raises you camera up and down on the middle of a tripod. Yes that is the professional name for it😂😂👍

I really like putting out little videos on Instagram. Problem is, I know absolutely nothing about making videos. But it’s really not a huge problem because I have a huge team off great people willing to help me out at #vistekcalgary & #vistektoronto. To figure it all out and see what my best options are for doing videos on the #westcoastvancouverisland and all the coastal towns around the island. We’re trying to figure out the best way to do videos for my upcoming #solokayaking trip around #tofino#ucluelet and other areas. Everything has to do with portability and battery life. And, o’yeah, salt water. You see if you didn’t know this, salt water doesn’t care about anything and will do it’s damndest to destroy it. If you have any questions or need any video gear give Kyle Whitehead Video Consultant at #vistekcalgary a call. He’ll be glad to answer any off your questions from Pro Videos for the Video industry. To any consumer videos.
I can’t begin to tell you how stoked I am to be cleared to get back to #solokayaking especially on the #westcoastvancoucerisland and that whole area of #tofino and #ukee. Got something crazy planned so I’m flying in for a few days at the beginning off February to get some parking spots sorted out and places to resupply my food supplies if needed.

Complete peace kayaking up the Blackwood River this morning, not a soul about. Slightly surreal feel with huge old dead trees and branches reaching out underwater from the banks as you slide over them. Plenty of ducks, small cormorants, many types of dragonfly and lots of small fish!! 🚣🏽♂️💨😁 #watzat#blackwoodriver#kayaking#solokayaking#peaceontheriver#riverlife
So I set out on my kayak today to find some gators, went to where I figured they would be and wasn't disappointed! At a little over 7ft in length, this was the largest of 3 that I saw, although I'm sure more than just 3 saw me. I was able to get within about 35 feet before he submerged. Alligators are truly awesome animals, and like sharks have remained almost completely unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs! #gatorsighting#solokayaking#crikey
