Sometimes after preschool and a long day, you just need to cry, about nothing really and then five minutes later you’ll be your happy self again. I love this girl more than anything! Her spirit, her passion, even her fits of rage. I think she gets them from me. 😂 I felt pretty badly taking this photo, but my camera was already in my hands. I also made a similar photo about two years earlier in the same room and same light, so when the moment arose spontaneously, I seized it. She wasn’t very happy with me at the time, but laughed at the images of her tantrum a few minutes later.

As a mom, you always hope that your kids will grow up happy and healthy. 🍂 You hope they have the morals and the faith that you tried to instill. ❤️ This momma did awesomely and Grace is all of that and more. 🌿
The Weissert family on the blog...
Photography (specifically newborn photography) is my first love. But as any other photographer knows, the hours (both sessions and the hours spent editing) can be so long.
I found myself at a crossroads this last year, either pour more hours into my business (which naturally equals less hours with my family) OR find a way to be home more but supplement the difference in income. Hello MONAT. Hello residual income. (And while your at it fix my postpartum hair loss 😂💁🏻♀️)
Now I can spend more time with my family, the time I do spend with my clients isn’t stretched - so I can give them more of me and more of my talent. And I don’t have to worry when a month isn’t booking the way I expect it to because I can be confident the extra income will come from my “side gig”. Goodbye stress. Hello work/life balance!
Let me know if you can relate! 👊🏼 let’s talk about if Monat is something that may be a good fit for you and your family too!
Oh, And you can see my final pics from this session a few posts back ☺️
Every single person you see here on Instagram, walking through the grocery store, and driving down the street is fighting a battle you know nothing about. We hear these sayings all the time, but If I’m being honest, It’s easy to give the benefit of the doubt to a stranger, because we know nothing about them. What about those closest to you? Friends or Family you’ve forgiven over and over and still they hurt you? How easy is it then? Every single thing someone does or says to you is a reflection of their own battle. Sometimes we’re lucky enough to see it come full circle and understand why and sometimes we are not. Are people doing their best? I think they are, because believing that makes ME happy, and that’s all I can control. Let’s choose happy 💕
Dear Bella, if Daddy works from home & has got time to watch Penny, and you haven’t got a club, we go for a walk around the loop after school. It takes us 35 minutes, you chatter non stop & we hold hands the entire way. You talk me through every little detail of your day from when the bell goes in the morning to packing up at the end. When we get back to our drive you say ‘anyway Mama how was your day?’ ❤️ It is one of my favourite things to do xxx
Me: What dinosaur should we make?
Penny: A really scary one!
I’m struggling to relate an image of P being chased by a dinosaur to the day’s events or my life (definitely can’t pass this off as being ‘authentic’ 😂). But, this is what we have to resort to at the end of half term - anything to keep them amused. #scenefromtheceiling
If you’ve ever wondered to yourself whether it might be a good idea to cut your own fringe, let me tell you now, it is not.
The only positives to come from me cutting my own this evening are that I can see again (always good) and that the now wonky fringe is quite a good way of detracting from the snaggle tooth situation I have going on with my braces right now.
As you can probably tell, I’m feeling pretty smoking hot 🔥 right now.
In other news, did you see that big burning thing in the sky today? I heard a rumour that spring is on the way and now I’m feeling ready to pick up my camera again 🌤 📷👌
