When I was 19, just out of High school I was hired to design and build a skateboard park in Calgary Alberta. It was called Skate Jungle. It was a mix mash of mini ramps ranging from 4 to 8 feet. All I wanted to be was a pro skater not a park builder, so as soon as the park was complete I surrendered my $800 a month skate park builder job and headed down to California to be professional skateboarder, where I made $400 a month. It was a easy decision.
