#AK Day 8: The weather here still sucks, cloudy and raining all the time. But I still managed to capture this great picture of the end of Knik River Rd.
Day 7: AK sunrises 💕
Check out those mountains on the other side of the bay

Missing: Valerie Sifsof, Missing from #Alaska Since 2012.
This is Valerie Sifsof:
Sifsof was last seen at the age of 43 at #GraniteCreek Campground at Mile 64 on #SewardHighway oustide of the resort at #Girdwood in #Anchorage, Alaska. Valerie was camping with her boyfriend at the resort on July 7th, 2012. He later reported that Valerie became upset and walked away from the campsite without her keys, ID, cellphone, or other belongings at about midnight. She never returned. Her boyfriend reported looking for her with no success and left the campsite at roughly 12 pm the next day. He did not report her missing until 3 days later on July 11th, 2012.
Valerie's tank top and black sweatshirt were found in Six Mile Creek, which runs through the campsite, but these were the only signs of her in the area. One of the items was positively identified by DNA. Her family has organized numerous searches for her and believe that she is deceased. Valerie was planning her sister's baby shower prior to her disappearance. There is a $27,000 dollar reward for information leading to Valerie's recovery
If you have any information regarding the disappearance or whereabouts of Valerie Sifsof, you are encouraged to contact the Alaska State Troopers at 907-783-0972.

Day 6: Getting up close and personal with Alaskan glaciers ❄️ #AK
If, after seeing the last couple of photos from Alaska, you are still wondering what the heck one can do in the Anchorage area in winter, here I will be offering a few of my suggestions.
1) Take a boat tour in Seward, cruising along Kenai Fjords National Park in Resurrection Bay. The boat can’t go far due to high waves and rough seas in the open ocean, but I absolutely guarantee you will revel in the surrounding scenery and the cute little sea otters :) The only available tours in winter are offered by @sewardoceanexcursions and Captain Bixler, who is very knowledgeable and will make sure you have a blast.
2) If you are into crawling in small ice caves, walking around ancient sublime ice, and being astonished by a white snowy kingdom, you should definitely visit Matanuska glacier. @matanuskaglacier arranges a wonderful adventure tour that includes snowmobile sleigh rides, possible moose sightings, and jovial moments to remember.
3) Seward highway is a must. It is one of the most beautiful roads we have ever had the pleasure of taking. Devote at least one (short Alaskan) day, stopping at the numerous scenic spots, each and every one making you gasp with delight.
These activities pretty much filled those three days that we’ve spent in Alaska in December, but if you have more time, consider skiing at Alyeska resort, driving to Denali State Park (where, if weather permits, you could see the glorious peak) or stay a night or two north of Talkeetna for possible Aurora Borealis sightings.
Or take your time and make lots of pictures, just like we did, cause Alaska is spectacularly beautiful!
Day 3: Witnessed this wicked sunrise on my way to the ski hill this morning. The stillness of the water allowed for a perfect reflection of the mountain in the sea while the sun rose behind the mountains. Shortly after this was taken, the clouds started rolling in and visibility went to 0 real quick. Really glad I got to see this before the clouds covered everything in sight! #TravelAwesome
