Mother Nature showing off her colors. 🎨
An amazing few days with pals @apapuga and @clumsysloth in a Valley of geological wonders. 🙌 The palette of colors here, the soft marbled mounds of Zabriskie Point and Golden Canyon, actual marble walls of Mosaic Canyon, red columns of Red Cathedral, sandy dunes of Mesquite Flats and the sharp, salty and crusty patterns of Badwater Basin and Devil’s Golf Course display just some of the variety of scenery and terrain. 😍 I took so many photos, just picking the first photo to share was overwhelming. 😬 Other than hanging with Anna and Gina around the campfire, Artist’s Palette was the winner for Day 1. 🏆

At any given point in time, you have the power to say, “this is not how the story is going to end.” And that is exactly how I ended up here. It was November 2015 and I will never forget the moment when Adam and I looked at each other in another repeat conversation saying “what are we doing?!” We were sitting still when all we wanted was to run. And that was all it took. In that moment we made a decision to change. We rented out our home, downsized, learned to live without a thing or two, learned what mattered most and what really didn’t matter at all, and set out on a journey that has become a catalyst for so much more to come. Girl, never, ever forget that you get to choose how the story ends. And never, ever, ever think that you don’t have what it takes to change it...’cause you do.

I’ve seen this waterfall hundreds of times, in every season, and at every time of day. But I think when it’s dressed in a fresh coat of snow with ice slowly creeping in from the edges, is when I find it the most breathtaking- like a scene from a wintery fairytale.
We headed out to Zabriskie Point at sun down but noticed the sky was coated in a thick blanket of clouds. No star shots tonight, I thought. We stuck around and as the sky darkened we noticed the clouds began to dissipate, and the night sky light up! The desert does not disappoint, especially at night! 🌌
We here at PWH truly believe that all are welcome and all are friends. We are all-inclusive, support one another, and try to inspire, spread positivity, love, and encouragement to all within the hiking community. Here's the story of our good friend Noelia (@noeliaatravels), cofounder of @peoplewhoadventure, who does the same ⬇:
"I stumbled into hiking a few years ago but didn’t fall in love with it until I started climbing mountains. My first summit was Cucamonga Peak, and the euphoria I felt when I reached the top was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I was hooked! Hiking for me is therapeutic. It’s a huge stress relief and can be a challenge at the same time. I’ve seen beautiful landscapes and witnessed jaw-dropping miracles along the way. Hiking has also caused me to develop a deeper connection with myself, God, and others.
My other half @matthikes7.0 and I experience so many benefits from being outdoors, including physical and emotional well-being, that we decided to start @peoplewhoadventure as a platform to create positive change and encourage others to get outside and lead a life of adventure!" - via @noeliaatravels // #PeopleWhoHike
