Beautiful views are everywhere here, even from the water closet 😜. No kidding the best view is when your sitting on the toilet. You can see right through the opening in the woods all the way to the deer feeder. Don’t believe me? Come see for yourself!

Happy birthday to one of my best friends, and my favorite fishing buddy! Thanks for taking me fishing and teaching me so much about it! You're the only one of my friends crazy enough to go fishing in the rain, sleet, & snow with me! Also, thanks for being patient with me all 50,000 times I set the hook into a stump or got hung on a tree limb! I hope you've had a great day! Hope we can hit the lake and catch some big ones, or play bumble-bee ping pong again soon! 😂 Love ya! 🎣 #BassFishing#TexasBassFishing#LakeSamRayburn#SamRayburn#LakeFork#FishingBuddy

A little history for ya: The first is picture is from 1960 of the Pendleton bridge being constructed that crosses from Texas to Louisiana. The body of water known as the Sabine River Basin shown in the first picture is now a part of Lake Toledo Bend Reservoir, 2nd & 3rd picture, which was formed in 1966 from the construction of the Toledo Bend Dam. Rumor has it back in the day the river was very deep and treacherous to cross and people would swim across and never make it to the other side. Before hurricane Rita hit here in 2005, the lake hit a record low level and a peninsula of land unearthed from the water near the Texas side and all you could see where large holes in the ground shaped like graves. People would bury their loved ones there from drowning in the Sabine River. Nowadays we drive across that bridge not thinking about the people that died crossing it but thinking about the good fishing and the beautiful view. If you come visit us make sure you take a drive over to the LA side across the bridge and see it for your own eyes.
Hey y’all this is Patrick Aka “PK” I have been doing Powerline work for 18 years and I still haven’t got use to the cold, but being in this cozy warm cabin designed by @shannin_williams makes you forget about how cold it is.
So if you’re visiting for work are fishing in a bass tournament are just wanting to relax come join us at campthinkawannapokeya....
We have the pipes wrapped at the cabin to prepare for the winter arctic freeze that’s suppose to hit us in the morning. Maybe we can ice skate on the lake and catch fish through a hole? Sounds like fun to us!!!
These three pictures wrap up Sam Rayburn this week. A brutal practice with rain and 20+ mph winds. A couple fish here and there on a trap, and a tournament day where the entire boat froze when we reached our first spot. Brought 1 fish to the scales, but with no graphs on the boat this week, I'll take it! Moving on to Toledo in a couple weeks! #samrayburn
