"Dont think too much" 100x100
Art is about exploring;
As the artist you explore your mind
It is a gift to have a message mechanism.
sharing your story.
whatever it may be; to whoever may see, feel or understand it
2017 has been a wild year for me; I have suffered a lot mentally, more than I ever knew possible.
I survived. but not many people do.
I have always said when I am stronger I need to do something to help others - this is not okay.
So this piece is something fun - the beginning of a series of works.
Over the #prestonpaperboy trademark I will write quotes that meant a lot during my struggles - these will be short/long, complex/simple.
They helped me and still do now.
Blindfolded, I attempt to create my smiler using spray paint. This represents the idea of pushing on without vision.
Those who have experienced mental illness will know, it can consume you and your vision.
I hope I can help at least 1 person.

Quite an odd thing to do in hindsight, but I tried to fit into the camera to show you more of this gorgeous British landscape 😅funny fact about me: ever since I started reading chick lit books by Jill Mansell (which is more than 10yrs ago 🙈) I told myself that one day I wanted to move to England. When I said England I meant the country side (read: cotswolds or cornwall) but instead I ended up in London. I'm not sure I would have lived here if it wasn't for my boyfriend, but I'm very glad I do. It's definitely the best place to be for my journey as an emerging artist and this place is (overwhelmingly) full of opportunities! Having said that I'm very curious where you would still like to live or are you happy where you are? 😊
