A recap of the first time ski adventures of two Kentucky gals:
Our air bnb in Colorado was the basement of an adorable A-frame cabin in Breckenridge. Our backyard was a blanket of snow and alpines and when the sky was clear, we could see the mountaintops peeking through the trees surrounding us.
On our way to the Keystone ski resort on Saturday morning, we stopped to watch moose grazing beside the road. My one and only goal for the weekend was achieved!!! Subsequently, moose watching and grabbing a quick bite made us a little behind schedule to get our boots and skis fitted and then check-in for our group ski lesson. This ended-up being amazing luck, as the group left us and we were instead given our own personal ski instructor with no added cost.
We learned to ski on the sides of Dercum Mountain, with the peak reaching 11, 640’. Our instructor challenged us all day, constantly pushing us to learn more in the 5 hours we had together. Even during lunch, she was reviewing our skills, testing us about technique, encouraging us, and filling our brains with information while also making it fun (Fun=Amanda’s weekend goal was achieved). We rode the gondola and the chair lift…. I was constantly in awe of our beautiful surroundings. By the end of our first ever lesson and a few falls later, we had advanced from level 1 to level 3 skiiers.
The day ended at Breckinridge Brewery where we were surprised to find the UK game playing on the big screen. So we stayed to watch and wax nostalgia about our home sweet home while enjoying some local brews. It's safe to say our first ski experience anything we could have imagined.

I have never really appreciated the desert until recently. Over Christmas we stayed in Joshua tree with some new friends and it gave us a whole new perspective. Normally, pictures don’t do a scenery justice, but @travywild was able to capture the amazing beauty with his crazy photography skills. #joshuatree#desert#sunset#vanfamily
This is promising. Finally, a good sunny day to see the improvement in the amps coming in from the new solar panels. I was getting 3 amps before. Gave all of the harbor freight 15 watt panels away to new friends who can use them as a starter to their solar setup on their truck camper. The reading coming from the batteries is good, but I still need to rest them. The 100% will drop when the sun goes away. I screwed up or the situation I have been in screwed everything up. Hopefully, the batteries come back to life. I need to test them all individually. First, it looks like I need to replace the fuel pump. #solarpower#rvlife#fulltimerv#homeiswhereyouparkit#sucksbeingstranded#rvproblems
We had planned to attend the L.A. Women's March yesterday. We were at the D.C. march last year, and #resist is just one of those things we do now like eat or breathe. But we skipped it. I don't have a great reason why. Long week, lots of work, exhaustion. We just weren't feeling it. But good friends did go, and later we met up and shared their enthusiasm and knew we'd been there in spirit. ▫️ These are Story Cubes. You roll the lot of them, then take turns making up a story using the icons as prompts. This one meandered from magical birds and a law school for animals (just go with it) to money and incompetence and betrayal. But, in the end, the good guys won. #hopeful#always#havetobe#bluewave
🙆🏻♀️ We are celebrating 100 followers. Thank you so much for being with us through this new adventure, this means the world to us. We are the RV.era journey and we are learning a lot from you. See you all on the road.

Swamp tour! Check out my stories to see the swamp piggies 💕
Taking care of 26 kids has us feeling exhausted. Two mama’s popped kids out at 2 am. One of the babes was stuck inside mama goat and @cellycella had to dive in to get it out. 😳 Farm life has been quite the experience...🐐😅😴 #NubzForDayz#LostInTrillium
Lilly's window is frozen shut. Poor girl can't put her head out. But at least the roads are better today. 😃 #theclaysatplay#rvlife

Retro Weekend!! We are not the only folks in love with that vintage look! The front one is a very rare 1982 Dodge Apollo 3300 IB Motorhome, and the rear one is a 1977 GMC Motorhome. Both were in very good condition and were each garaged their whole lives. #retro#vintage#motorhome#gmc#dodge#rv#rvlife#badass

I love our nomadic RV lifestyle, because it brings us closer as a family. We have less stuff to distract us from enjoying the little moments. Making memories with little AJ is what it's all about. ❤️

Threading the needle. Lining up the slides perfectly with the power terminal. #bigrigproblems
Checked out the Tidewater Recreational Vehicle Show yesterday. I think I’d rather live out of one of these bad boys than a house and just travel! I’m mad that I didn’t take more pics and didn’t even get pics of my favorite one. #rv#rvlife#travel
whoa friends...what a day! 😩
rather than show you my messy house (does anyone actually want to see pictures of peoples messy houses?!) I will show you this picture of my adorable girl...when she wasn’t cranky cause she woke up early from a nap, my kitchen was clean, everybody was getting along and I was less frazzled!
this picture on this day reminds me that everything comes back around...bad days come and go and they are followed by so many good days!
