Heavenly Father, thank you for the precious gift of life.
Help us to cherish and protect this gift, even in the midst of fear,
pain, and suffering.
Give us love for all people, especially the most vulnerable,
and help us bear witness to the truth that every life is worth living.
Grant us the humility to accept help when we are in need, and teach us to be merciful to all.
Through our words and actions, may others encounter the
outstretched hands of Your mercy.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen. ( - free printable prayer card at site - link in bio) #prayer#9daysforlife#sharejourney#respectlife#faith#faithoverfear#praytogether#usccb@usccb
Marathon/Everest Training - Day 140
I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend time connecting with this beautiful rescue lamb, she was happy, curious and playful, with a caring rescuer and a life full of hope 🙏🏼
All animals should deserve this same chance right?
If you're vegan, get active! If you don't know how, or you have any worries, ask me ✋🏼I have a ton of resources to help you
If you're not vegan, this might upset you; you are a part of the problem, the reason animals like her won't have the chance to live a full and happy life - if you don't like that, message me and let's talk about what we can do to change it 😊

“Every individual, precisely by reason of the mystery of the Word of God Who was made flesh (cf. Jn 1:14), is entrusted to the maternal care of the Church. Therefore every threat to human dignity and life must necessarily be felt in the Church's very heart; it cannot but affect her at the core of her faith in the Redemptive Incarnation of the Son of God, and engage her in her mission of proclaiming the Gospel of life in all the world and to every creature (cf. Mk 16:15).” (Evangelium Vitae) - Saint Pope John Paul II
Yesterday, we explored what it truly means to respect life in all its stages. We filled our day with great people who laid the foundation for understanding our faith and the legislation our government can use to protect human rights. From JP2 to Abraham Lincoln, the Holocaust museum to the war memorials, we didn’t waste a single step or minute of our time while in DC. We immersed ourselves in what it truly means to be a “pro-life generation!”
Occasionally, The Hein Hound Hotel will make midnight medical calls! Miss Maple had her ears "tagged" and they aren't healing properly, so whenever she shakes, blood spatters everywhere. Tagging is a branding technique used by people who believe that animals are livestock, including dogs, and want to mark them as their property. They cut patterns in the dogs ears to "claim" them. As someone who believes that I can never own another life, I was happy to burn some midnight oil to get this girl the care she deserved. We are so happy to help Maple find her forever home!!
