How do you track the ROI on your training?
I'm a huge advocate for better training. It's one of the main reasons why I had the desire to write "Customer Service is the Bottom Line" but I have received quite a few private messages about how I track ROI on principles or theories.
On the bright side, there are online training platforms that allow you to track your employees progress. You can see where they are in the training, if they're passing the tests, how quickly they're progressing & understanding the concepts.
That's only one analytic that is basically a pat on the back or not. It's like standardized testing in schools & we all know that you can't base your ROI based on action of taking a training course.
It boils down to everywhere else in your business. Do you have analytics for your customer service department? Do you have data on your increase or decrease of sales based on the sole individual? What reviews are coming in about your restaurant and the staff?
The ROI in training is absolutely there. But you won't find it in theories and potential situations.
Your employees show their best throughout the training. It's what happens after the training that will allow you to track your ROI & see real world results.
Better training. Better people. Better results.
