Today's find was this poster from 1985! Did anybody ever go to The Merrymen Sports Club? Seems like it was probably a good time..

This new silverware drawer organizer is compliments of my super handy boyfriend Will. 💙
This idea came about when I couldn't find an organizer to fit my current drawer. So I asked Will to make me a built in that can be removed, should I want to in the future. This is going to relieve a regular, tiny kitchen irritation. The misc silverware would frequently slide under the organizer.

This time 4 years ago, we took a chance by listing the spare bedroom in our first home on @airbnb. Most people we spoke with didn’t get why we’d do that or what it was, but when bookings started coming in and kept coming in, we knew it was working and helping move us toward our goals. Looking back, we truly don’t think that it would have been possible to rehab 8 homes, start @thevillagehost and @mixdesigncollective, quit our day jobs, and grow our brand if we hadn’t taken that chance. We followed our guts and didn’t back out because of other peoples’ doubts. Staying focused on our goals and our work vs those of others is something we still challenge ourselves to do everyday. Every minute we spend comparing ourselves and our progress to others, we’re losing an opportunity to be working, resting, reading, helping, creating, talking — things that’ll help us make progress of our own!
