My mind is very much on holiday mode this month, but here is something:
I get a lot of questions about refreshing whenever I'm chatting to curlies here, so I did a very long video explaining some ways to refresh (like, 22 minutes long 😭).
As part of the bigger video, I included what works for me. Why?
Because the conditioner and water business doesn't work for me.
Raking my fingers into my hair for refresh also doesn't work for me.
I'm a 3a+b curly girl with low to normal porosity hair and coarse width.
The one and only product that works for me is Kinky-Curly Spiral Spritz with whatever gel I'm using at the time.
Look at the results above!
Luscious shine and definition.
This was Day 4 hair, refreshed.
It lasted me 2 extra days, untouched.
Do I always refresh? No, because my curls are well-preserved between washes.
I will speak about this later, but my curls usually last 4 days, untouched.
HOWEVER... in the occasion of a much needed stretch, this is the only option for refreshing that works for me.
So, if you are interested, you can watch this video about refreshing techniques that work for me.
I've been using these techniques since February 2017, after trial and error.
On "good curl" days, I simply use some Leave-in lightly on dry hair.
When I do need a refresh, I use the Spritz and Gel on 50% wet hair.
The link to the channel is on my Link Tree, on my profile.
The video is called "This Is How I Refresh My Curls". You can swipe to see SOME of the funny highlights above.
Have fun and watch till the end on YouTube for more laughter! 😂
I'm currently in a country area of beautiful Australia.
It's time for me to soak in every moment of this beautiful place.
The good thing about being sick for two days is that it forces you to stop & rest. I clearly needed that little break because I am feeling 💯 now! Thank you Jesus! // Nothing beats crawling into freshly cleaned sheets on a freshly made bed — Murphy agrees!
