Q&A POST! If you have any questions for us, please feel free to comment below & will include everyone’s questions in my next few posts!
I’m often asked where I get my meat and products I use, so here we go!
-I get most of my muscle meat from local hunters, family/friends, and from posting on Facebook about freezer cleanouts. It’s easier than you may think and I’ve gotten fantastic results from it. I rarely purchase muscle meat, but when I do it’s to switch up variety, as most meat I get is venison, other lean wild game, or pork.
-Most organ and bone items come from @primitive_choice , a small business based out of Colorado with fantastic sourcing and pricing. Some organs come from my grocery store if they are available and on sale.
-I use a variety of supplements in moderation: Green Lipped Mussel Powder, organic Spirulina, NuPro, Solid Gold Sea Meal, Mercola Digestive Enzymes, and goat kefir. All of which are available on Amazon except the kefir. You can find Kefir at almost any store, but it will be less beneficial than kefir from a farm or sourced locally as the store bought kefir is not raw.
-When veggies are given, for maximum benefits, they will need to be lightly steamed or puréed, as dogs do not have the necessary enzymes to break down and reap the benefits of plant matter - their bodies can not break down the cellulose wall without the methods mentioned above. You’ll see here that I have given Sage a small portion of whole vegetables - I am not as concerned about nutrient absorption of these items as I am about the presence of some fiber in her diet.

Let’s talk TRIPE!!
Natural ‘green’ tripe contains many beneficial enzymes and probiotics, which make it a great digestive aid for both dogs and cats. Adding tripe to your pet’s diet will allow them to digest meals with less energy, absorb nutrients more easily, and support the digestive system as a whole.
Tripe also contains selenium, a powerful antioxidant. The combination of digestive enzymes and selenium can help with your dog’s overall metabolism, hormonal function, and immune system.

Who remembers puppy Kovak? 😂 This was Kovak’s first night with us and Konan was NOT having it!!!

In Konan’s defense Kovak was really annoying him that night & was not getting the hint. He kept pushing himself to Konan ALL night. Usually it’s the other way around with an adult dog & a puppy. It’s usually the puppy squealing because the adult dog is playing too rough. But not with our dogs of course. Kovak has always been such a brave puppy. They’re quite special😂
More on the blow dryer! For anyone interested: it’s by Go Pet Club from Amazon! It worked really well for the price but ofcourse it doesn’t have the same power as the $300 ones. I honestly think it has the same power as the blow dryers from Petfood Express though, this was actually on the “Low” settings too. 😊
