#2 got the in my long run with some good technical running in the middle (3 miles of #railroad tracks)18.6miles/30k. Finished off with 3 more miles of barefoot. ~22miles today.
#3 working on some 3D print prototype materials for piano designs.
#4 this bird is a pecker. She just keeps slamming her face into this window. While her mate is just sitting on a branch below, like "dude, don't even get me stauted, she is running her face into a glass, fa cryin out loud.
So stoked to travel with the boys to Seattle. We are going to explore at Boeing and the University about material composite sciences.
Bruce Lee is buried in Volunteer park, a few miles from where we will be. They have amazing mountains, that we won't have time to fully explore, but we will be checking out the lighthouses, some ferries, parks, museums.
When I was out running today on Powell Drive, I noticed what appeared to be an old driveway or road going back into the woods near Beaver Creek on some state-owned land that was acquired during the construction of the road. I followed it back about 100 feet to the creek, where I found an abandoned brick structure with steps leading to the top. It was partially submerged. It had a counterpart on the other side, which was completely surrounded by the creek, which is very high due to recent rain. After returning home, I took Eli to see it. Turns out it's at least a century old, part of the Dingy Railroad which was used to transport clay mined in the area to the nearby Powell Brickyard. I learned that there is an even older wagon road crossing a bit further down, which I will investigate.
