"Someday you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God.” - Rev. #BillyGraham

Four generations in the shop today! While most of you know my story, did you know that the entrepreneurial spirit started with my grandmother + great grandparents!? My abuelita👆🏼grew up in Mexico City selling nylons door to door, then came to the U.S. where she started hand making scarves, and later became one of the most sought after estheticians in NYC! I hope P has some of the hustle in her! Oh and despite several attempts this was the best photo we could muster 😬
God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with. 🕊 Reverend Billy Graham // super duper thankful for my parents who gifted me with this record player and for knowing me oh so well. 🙊 😍

Welcome home Billy!...
One of the greatest preachers of all time has gone home today and is in the presence of our Lord Jesus. I’m sure it must of been an amazing entrance for him..a celebration where all angels were clapping for the faithful servant who lived an incredible life. He has lead so many people to God with the message of the gospel who will all be joining him one day. You were an amazing legacy Billy, thank you for all your work for God’s kingdom and being a great example of what it means to live a life for Christ. I know i’ll be seeing you in Heaven. ❤️ #billygraham
It’s another (Phoenix) winter day and I’m soaking it up! I decided to start the day by going to breakfast by myself to read! ☺️📖☕️ My waitress wasn’t the friendliest and she was a bit impatient and rushed... but instead of leaving a bad tip (which I’d never do anyway), I decided to leave a 60% tip! Because everyone deserves grace! So, why not be a small part of what could possibly make her day a little better? ☺️ I think we tend to punish people who do don’t treat us how we want to be treated. Whether it’s leaving bad tips for sub par service or cutting off someone who cut you off. Things like ignoring someone because they ignored you or hurting someone because they hurt you. But where does that leave us? That leaves everyone unhappy and discouraged. But choosing and love and kindness and grace, even when others don’t, has the potential to leave everyone happier and more encouraged! So let’s be kind, because it just makes the most sense! 😉
Anyone that knows me well knows that I rarely pay full price for just about anything. Honestly, what’s better than getting a good deal?! I’ve had my fair share of budget travel wins, but I think this past weekend takes the cake. Sharing the specifics on the blog today, including some of my go-to resources for an inexpensive getaway!
Startin a new thing here, I’m calling it #zerowastewednesdays. On Wednesdays (when I remember), I’ll post a quick, simple, cost-effective (actually a bunch of them are free) swap or recipe I use to reduce how much trash our family creates. I know zero-waste seems overwhelming and expensive but I want to show you that it’s totally not either of those things!
Is my family even close to being 100% zero waste? No. Is that my goal/what I’m telling you you need to do? Also no. But this is something I’m super passionate about and I truly believe that small, sustainable, consistent changes add up to create a big impact.
So heres my first one: instead of buying jelly thats either a. super expensive, b. full of gross ingredients, or c. inexplicably both (can’t even tell you how many times thats happened here...) I’ve been making this two-ingredient chia seed jelly. All you do is put 2-3 cups of berries or other chopped fruit in a small saucepan, bring it to a boil, and then add two tablespoons of chia seeds. When it’s cooled put it in the fridge (preferably in a recycled jar 😏) and... thats it. You just made jelly with no gross ingredients for a dollar or two. See, I told you this was easy.
Couple of happy Momma’s boys. And a happy momma too.

When you're so excited for a weekend away to see your friend that you start packing several days early 💁🏼. Also, the fact that the weather is supposed to be in the mid-upper 70s... 🙌🏻! Come on, Friday! 💕
Suns out, buns out! Made an executive family decision to take a week off of life and go to Hawaii. 🌊🤙🏼 #mahalo

To be in the company and community of other artists is a rare treat these days. So delighted to share studio time, ideas, inspiration and conversation with some wonderful painters gathered by the marvel that is Joan Anderson of @mountainwaterranch 💫✨🔥
In college I would YouTube his sermons and watch them whenever I felt lost or in need of the word of God. I lost count on how many times I received Jesus into my heart after every service. Definitely my favorite inspirational human, Billy Graham. #RIP

I know I sound like a broken record, but I’m loving the rain. It’s been raining for days and I just can’t stop loving it 🙃. I’m also struggling to get anything done - I’m so distracted 😬
Passions are what gets us going every morning, and sometimes, what don’t let us sleep at night. Passions are the engines that propels us, the vitamins that feed everything else we do. Some people don’t discover theirs until late in life, while others know from childhood what they move by. Writing, photography and blogging, traveling, cooking and baking, architecture and design, history and literature, are mine. What are your passions? #passions#findwhatmovesyou#lovewhatyoudo#beinthepresent

I basically married a big kid. He LOVES spending quality time with his boys. And by “quality time” I mean, “sledding down the biggest hill at the fastest speed until he puts the fear in their eyes and they practically pee themselves” kind of quality time. You know... when you can’t tell if the sounds coming out of your child’s mouth means they are having fun or completely traumatized?! But when they reach the bottom... “I want to go again!! Let’s go again!” 🤷🏼♀️ #sledding#allamomcandoislookaway#thrillseekers#dadlife#momlife#twins#boys
