The sacral chakra is about creation, feeling, emotions, pleasure, deep human connection.
The sacral chakra in balance allows us to swim in the waters of difference, to respond to people authentically and to meet others where they are in their own experience.
Partnerships of all kinds are shaped by the state of our sacral chakra, and as the bridge between our body (root) and personal power (solar plexus) it's essential that we take time to develop a healthy relationship with this energy center. .
Join us at Spotlight on January 28 from 11-2 for this remarkable workshop Root to Rise, facilitated by @rebel.lion, @apolloconnectioncompany, and @ganga__devi
Take a deep dive into this topic as they join forces with @surfani_global this March 17-23 at @playaviva in Mexico for an incredible, one of a kind retreat experience.

I fall , I rise , I make mistakes , I live , I learn , I’ve been hurt but I’m alive . I’m human , I’m not perfect but I’m thankful 🙌🏻 Namaste
I get asked a lot if I was a gymnast when I was younger and the answer is yes!
You may think that inversions and flexibility comes naturally to me... it doesn't. I have a background in artistic gymnastics which I did for 8 years until I was 18. Then I had a 5 year break before I started practicing yoga and I slowly worked for my flexibility and strength to come back. Of course a history of being upside down certainly helped, so if you're a beginner yogi do not be disheartened if your body is still learning, it takes time.
Here's a little flow with walkovers at the start - my favourite gymnastics skill as a child.
Day 18 - #Pasasana .
Despite my sore lower back and taking it easy today I think I can see some progress which is quite surprising. .
My heels are little lower, a little more twist, a little closer to bind. .
Slide 1 - the only bind I can do in #Malasana is over one leg, but I managed to narrow my stance and keep heels down. .
Slide 2 - Pasasana in both sides with front and back view. .
Slide 3 - Comparison between this and last year.
I got up today planning to do only few restorative poses to bring some relief to my lower back and just get a little mobile before work.
But this felt surprisingly good so I let myself enjoy it and just didn't push at all. .

Last 3 years (this is our 4th in a row!!), each January we repeat the same 28 poses, to keep us checked, motivated and track progress. .
If repeating THIS challenge each January helps you, in any small way, to stay on track and make you step on your mat more frequently, I say let’s go for it! .
If this is your first time doing it, welcome and remember to save your pics for 2019. .

Day 18 #30dayyogaliving Uttitha Parsvakonasana A @kinoyoga and @omstarsofficial
Ashtanga half-primary. 40-min of practice today. I felt a tad bit off today after remembering my dream but this practice somehow helped release tension though my focus isn’t too intensive as I would want to - some bits of distraction came along but managed to pull through half the series and just had to skip some asanas midway. Surprisingly, after some deep thought, I was able to pike to Sirsasana.
Finally finished the audiobook Originals by Adam Grant. Lots of takeaways but what I liked most is that anyone - ANYONE - can be an original. We need not be born extremely talented or geniuses, anyone can be a non-conformist who can move the world.
This week I have been taking things lightly. I’ve worried less and have prioritized myself a bit more than I used to such that I felt like there was one point when I wondered if I was just being a lazy “egg” for choosing to not do anything. But it made me feel good - saying NO when I know it will merit me, when it serves me. I’m learning to make balanced energy exchanges. Keeping up with good energy and positivity - it takes practice too and it’s a good habit to form.
“Venting doesn’t extinguish flame of anger, it feeds it.” - Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant (2017).
I believe in kindness and expressing anger in non-violent ways. It makes the world a much better place to live in. Confronting people in a peaceful manner makes a lot of difference; they’d most likely agree with you if not, they at least compromise and agree to meet halfway.
This is my best friend. We're lucky enough to live in a beautiful apartment. In a great area. We have health. We have money to eat what we feel like and feel spoilt. I have had the freedom to choose a non traditional career that I'm passionate about (yoga); and Eric the freedom to study to follow HIS passion. So this is a life appreciation post ☺️
Keep on learning everyday from that Kundalini Snake how to spread my wings and fly..🦋
The asana practice let us experience many different physical forms: an animal, a feather, a bird, a tree, the moon.. Through this journey of transformation it leads us to learn how to quiet and control our human thinking mind, taking us towards the awareness of what we really are: something else ..Something else than what our mind's illusion makes us think we are: to practice means to feel the sensation of going beyond that 'golden prison'. To practice means to learn how to control and master our thoughts, becoming able to use those as a powerful instrument: nothing more than that.
We're not our mind, neither our body, not our actions nor our thoughts: at the end, we're just breathing beings.
The authentic journey of Yoga makes us discover that we're all part of One Life because, in the depth of ourselves, we all are the purest universal Energy.

Life 😳➖I am learning Life - Life is a process of growing, outgrowing, and growing some more. There was a time when I thought life was hard work. 🤺
Now I am learning that it it is a process of complete releasing of resistance!
I don’t have to do anything better or faster than anyone else. It requires only I make a conscious effort to enjoy what I am doing, and that I learn to be present in every aspect of my life.
Rest. Work. Play. Serve. Learn. Teach. Give. Receive. A little bit of this. A little bit of that. Stop. Go. Speak. Listen. Cry some more. Align again. Understand some more. Pray some more. Rejoice some more
If you are still alive, it means you do not know the whole story. Each of us must wait until the final outcome. To honour life, we must be wiling to grow through what we don’t know yet, and outgrow what we know no longer fits us. 🔥
To honour life, we must be willing to give in to a the process, moment by moment, realising a new plot maybe unfoldening, a new character may be taking centre stage. 🔥
We must give credit to the divine director, producer, creator and this live production by acknowledging and accepting She/He know the final outcome and the role we must play. 🔥
The Divine will help us develop our character, will unveil the twisting, turning plot and make sure we are not upstaged. We are protected as we grow,. 🔥
In order to honour life and its directors, we must only show up, stay alert and be willing to learn the part.
Day 14/365 Handstand.
Trying to find the line again. When I video my practice from the side, I get frustrated when I get my balance but the line looks bad. It's constant work playing with both the balance, feel effortless and at the same time trying to find a good handstand line.

Simple scorpio for day 16 of #purrstarchallenge 🐜 I’m so behind! 🙈 These coming months I will try to work on opening my back a bit more. It feels so stiff after my injury, but probably is also much stronger thanks to all the fysio exercises. Let’s practice and see! 🙏🏻
Yesterday I listened to an amazing podcast with my fav @lewishowes and his guest @edmylett. I have so many notes from this podcast but here are a couple:
- The biggest addiction in the world today is addiction to other people’s approval.
- Self-confidence is about building a reputation with yourself- so you don’t need the approval from others.
- Self-confidence also comes from Faith. In knowing that you are perfect as you are, made in God’s image and that you need not do or be anything different from what you are now to be loved. - Therefore confidence comes from your word and your faith, and has nothing to do with others or external circumstances.
This week I’ll be paying extra special attention to where my confidence comes from- Word and Faith. 🙏

This morning I woke up bloated, tired and just not in a great mood 🤷🏻♀️ just one of those days!
So I rolled out my mat, done a meditation, some pranayama and then just flowed.
For the time I was practicing, I was just with my breath. Just completely present and in the moment.
I left the mat feeling so much calmer, energised and generally in a better mood.
I’m so thankful I have found something that can help me on these days/moments. 🙏🏽
Now I’m ready to face Wednesday!! 💃🏽
