Beautiful region. Outstanding wines. The Climates of Burgundy, which is classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, attest to the diverse terroirs of this central-eastern region of France, which is one of the world's most popular destinations for wine lovers.

Today was a bitch to be honest. But I’ve made such progress in this workout (day 36/80), I needed to coach up 🤣 and press play and show the peeps in my group, I CAN do it when it’s hard! Today was technically leg day, but let’s see some fun ab exercises! You all, home workouts are no joke and this ones pushes you! .
Anyone else feel like it’s Friday? 😱

Some nice bottles to celebrate!
Raveneau Chablis Les Clos 02. Beautiful nose of honey, chalky minerals and pineapples notes. A juicy and broad wine with mouthwatering salinity, lively acidity and a well tailored frame. All elements wonderfully integrated and drinking well.
DRC Echezeaux 07. So floral with stems, bright crunchy red fruits. I’m surprised that it’s so open today, gentle, delicate, luscious and pretty!
Armand Rousseau Chambertin 99. Very airy nose of iron, light nail varnish, candied red fruits. Smooth like fine silk and superb finish. Can still hold for a few decades more!

Just because this is a screw cap bottle, should one dismiss it as a simple and uninteresting wine? From my past experiences definitely not, with this bottle serving as another good example.
This German Pinot can easily put some village level Cote d'Or wines to shame. Bouquet of ripe red fruits with some savory herbal and earthy characters. My only complaint would be the slight alcohol heat and faint hint of oak. Apart from those, given the price, this is a very decent Pinot.

Jean Grivot Chambolle Musigny La Combe D’Orveau 14. The only plot in Chambolle to have all 3 crus, Grand, 1er cru and village (according to Steen Öhman). Some of this plot actually goes into Musigny! Bright aromatics, dark red fruits, silky fine texture with no rough edges. Good characteristics of a Chambolle. Crunchy red fruits with the right amount of sweetness. Yum.
