I haven't worked on negatives in ages with #thenegativecrew and the tag #onmondayswedropit.
So I revisited some basic for me lowers, like:
▪handstand➡epk2 ▪pincha➡baby bakasana
I will try and commit again to the Monday crew so I can add many more lowers. 🙌
Have an amazing Monday everyone! 💗
Day 21 of #AYearOfYoga2018 is #Vrschikasana
In September 2017, I accomplished a breakthrough and touched my head in #handstand#scorpionpose
Today, I was reminded of the impermanence of yoga as I couldn't connect my foot to my head. I did make progress with my #forearmstand#scorpionpincha as I am now able to enter it with clasped hands! I used to only do forearmstand with my hands pressing on the mat because I didn't have the strength to hold myself up otherwise. My chest feels more open this way and I have more range of motion! .
BUT going back to handstands, here's 2018 vs 2017:
🎊 It has been a year being wall-free in handstands and that in itself calls for a celebration!!!
🎊 Deeper bend
🎊 Reaching more through the backbend and legs and not with my head
🎊 Able to hold and hang out in handstand longer.
🎊 Breathing in handstand is becoming easier
💥 I enter this asana from handstand VERY SLOWLY and I find that what stops me from deepening the pose even more is that I lose my breath and endurance so those need some work!!
💥Be more balanced in order to stay in this pose longer.
💥 Straighten the arms more..
💥 Work on the breath and bend deeper with each exhale
💥 Practice, practice, practice! So that I can consistently touch my head!
Hoping to gain some progress next year!
Attempted a hollowback pincha for the first time today for forearm Friday - swipe for the video➡️
It’s not perfect, but a few weeks ago I was only dreaming of trying✨
Check out my story for a blooper of a wipe-out😂

Little flow before bed 💓| Excited for tomorrow’s adventures 🤗
Something interesting happened to me the other day when practicing this #hollowback#pincha I literally fell out of this and lost all control, it shocked me at first🤔because I’ve always felt so strong in my shoulders here, even back when I started practicing this I never lost control or felt weak! I’m thinking it is my new found shoulder flexibility that is causing this, has this happened to anybody? Finding that balance of #strength and #flexibility are so tricky, but it’s what #yoga is all about! #forearmbalance#pinchamayurasana#aloyoga
