I shot this picture at the 2017 Women’s D.C. March. Photography for me is about 3 elements: connection, giving back something of value to society, and evolution in the sense that there’s always movement, energy, and growth I’m seeing and feeling. In other words, I’m not stuck in one place. I suppose that’s what I love most about this image it has all those elements mentioned plus it reminds me of the joy and rhythm I feel whenever I listen to Sister Sledge’s song, “We are family I got all my sisters with me.”

Here’s a good #flashbackfriday for you with our brother (from another mother 😉) Ben. It was neat to witness him worship Jesus again after years of not being able to due to autism. But in this photo, on this day, he worshipped God voluntarily without any hint of anger or annoyance. His journey to healing may not be perfect or easy, but we know the power of the resurrected Christ is at work especially when we see glimpses of the impossible, be possible in him. Here’s to many more miracles and wonders on and through this guy. #hallelujah 📸: you are looking at a #jesusmiracle#allglorytohim . 🙌🏽💃🏽
