Ok serious moment now. I'm back home getting ready for the week ahead and of course I'm reflecting on the weekend in STL with @1stphorm. Have you ever had somebody that you follow on the internet then you meet them in real life you realize they suck & they are absolutely nothing like the person you follow? I go to a lot of the fitness expos so I've experienced it quite a bit. This scenario is actually so common that I almost go to the expos expecting it. Describing the people involved with this brand I'd say it's the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!I'd even go as far as saying the people are even more genuine, more sincere and have even more of a dope soul than they can portray on line. I know it might sound like some fairy tale, corny story book shit as I describe it but it truly is a DYNAMIC culture. I feel lucky, grateful, blessed to be able to have a small part on this squad and they continue to put up with me on these weekends. Lol. Thank you doesn't seem like enough. It really means a lot to me. I love these folks even @mai_tyler (who gives me shit the ENTIRE time)
In closing I had dinner with a friend tonight at a pretty nice restaurant (i showed up wearing a 1stphorm hoodie)
she asked "Do you only own 1stphorm clothes?"
I said "No I have other clothes" She said "well why is that all I ever see you wear?" So I answered her question with a question. I asked, have you ever been apart of something so much bigger than yourself that you take pride in wearing the logo because of what it stands for?" Her reply was simply "no." I responded "I see why you don't get it then and I hope it's something you eventually get to experience in your life bc it's changed mine."
Then I made her pay for dinner
No. I don’t just @cyclebar - although, I do it quite a bit. I’m on a constant quest to keep all the muscles behind me nice and strong. Very few #exercises get it done the way #kettlebell swings do. Glad to bring them back into my life this year after a long 2017 without them. Cheers to getting #stronger 💪
