Pear & Radicchio Salad ~ Blue Cheese ~ Walnuts. These pears are grown right by me by the rad folks at @froghollowfarm whose orchards I got to wander in and learn about a few months ago. I was tasting their olive oil at the Ferry Building the other day and turns out they take their olives to @mcevoyranch to be processed in their mill. And today I had the absolute pleasure and privilege to visit @mcevoyranch during their olive harvest and learn all about how they make their amazing olive oil, from grove to bottle. One of my all time favorite parts of my business is getting to know these stewards of the land that grow the food and make the products that end up on my plate. Get to know where your food comes from and get to know your farmer ya’all!

Cinnamon all day erryday!😋
🍚🍐Cinnamon Pear Oats 🍐🍚
*️⃣Steel Cut Oats *️⃣1 Pear (I use my pears that aren’t quite ripe enough yet) *️⃣Cinnamon *️⃣Optional: Walnuts, butter, coconut oil.
1️⃣Prepare your oats according to package directions.
2️⃣While they’re cooking, cube up your pear into bite size pieces.
3️⃣Put a pan over medium heat, rub pan lightly with coconut oil or butter, I just dip a paper towel in coconut oil & rub it around.
4️⃣Sprinkle generously w/ cinnamon.
5️⃣Cook a bit. Then add a sprinkle of water, put a lid on & continue to cook until pears get soft & have a nice sorta syrup/sauce going on, mmm.
6️⃣This is where I’ll add in walnuts if I have them, or any nuts if you like, & serve over your oatmeal. Seriously freaking yum!

Pecangipane Pear & Cranberry Tart. This fancy tart I made has a whole lot going on and is blowing my mind. The creamy layer beneath the fruit is made like the almond filling known as frangipane; but uses pecans instead hence the term oecangipane. Then there’re some hasselback pears and cranberries and sugar and crystallized ginger and lots and lots and lot of love. Thank ya @washingtonpost for this recipe inspiration!!!
A Pear 6x6 on wallis. When I fail to know what I want to do other than to paint, my only plan is a pear. #softpastel#pears
I loooove summertime baking with all the delish berries that are available - but winter is fun too for exploring things like apples, pears, and citrus. These pear & chocolate scones have become my latest wintertime favorite! And it may be a healthier version, but it definitely doesn't skimp on taste.
The best part? Combine 'em with a glass of milk and you've got a pretty balanced recovery treat after a long run or ride!
