Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church down the street from my house was a stop on the “Underground Railroad”, and is the birthplace of the first Public School for African-American children living in Washington, D.C.
Last weekend, I got to meet up with Aunt Ashton and Uncle Holden and go on my first official walk. We stopped to read all about the church.
