I met a French girl on my way to Nagarkot. She had been living in Nepal for 5 years. When I asked the reason, she said, "I fell in love with Nepal and wanted to live here for a while." I asked, "Wasn't 5 years enough?" She said, "Non, not good enough." To make a living, she taught English in a local school. She visited the sunrise tower every morning before leaving for school.
She said, "It's like Yoga, a habit, a necessity. Something that keeps me going and makes me feel like home. It reminds me that my family also watches the same sun and breathes the same air. That way, we are always connected." Deep!
I asked if she missed her family? To which she replied that she did and visited them once a year whenever possible.
She also offered me a cup of tea that she had made for herself. The best one I have had recently! And accompanied me till here, from where I could watch the Kathmandu Valley.
I couldn't decide what I liked more? That amazing girl or the view! Mesmerising!

#Vi@huong2641#nepaltrip#day3 . Let me tell u our #adventure today. After our flight got cancel the 2nd day coz of bad weather, we came back the airport again this morning with the hope that we would arrive #Lukla n could start to trek . We HD been waiting for 6hrs till the time they sent is to the airplane by bus. Then, we had to wait for 30mins coz our airplane had not arrived yet...hahaha, can u believe this??? Yes, our plane had not landed yet by the time we were there 😂😂😂. Finally the plane arrived n we kept waiting for the staff to refill the fuel, took out of some seats n put our checked luggages in....30 more mins. Then we could get onboard...a tiny airplane with 15 seats. As some of u guys may not know that #tribhuvaninternationalairport is 1 of the most #dangerous#airports in the world with its very #short#runway 😊. And our #propellerplane is 1 of the smallest airplane here,n look pretty old. But we all were so happy n excited to finally get in it. The flight takes 35mins, but after around 30mins, while I was enjoying the view to #Himalaya thru the window, the Flight attendant announced that we have to turn back to #Kathmandu. Then i saw the co-pillot searching, reading books to books, pressing button to button, I finally found out that there's sth wrong. Yes, THE RIGHT ENGINE HAD PROBLEM, IT WAS NOT WORKING 😲😲😲. Well, exciting flight 😂😂!! After all, We landed safe n sound, I saw 2 #fire#trucks n so many airport staff waiting for us. The moment I stepped my feet on the ground, I know that we all had just picked our lives back from the sky 😂😂. Our travel agency tried to arrange a #helocopter for us to fly again but then the weather was not on our side. We decided to go back the city, visit some #temples n try our luck again tmr morn.
I know it's not easy to go up #Everest but for us even the bottom of Everest is already a #bigchallenge . 3 days here n we still haven't seen it yet. We r running out of time.
Let's pray for our flight tmr, #safensound reaching to Lukla .
One year ago I was coming back from one of the best experiences of my life. All thanks to @oxadventure , and thanks to beautiful #Nepal. Cannot wait to be back someday 🙏🏽♥️🇳🇵

Home for the next 3 days 😍 😮👏 Best part is that this all Eco Luxury. Electricity is via solar panels, food is grown here, rain water is harvested, soap has no chemicals which means the shower water is then treated and used for irrigation, even our welcome letter is on recycled paper. So impressed with @thepavilionshimalayas ! #ecoluxury#responsibletourism#visitnepal
