We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

Wow what a long day! Finally relaxing with a beer in hand after leaving Taiwan at midnight yesterday and stopping over in Kuala Lumpur on our way to Nepal. Got in just after 1PM and had to zombie walk our way through customs and immigration. .
But, there was a bright side at the end of the tunnel! As we emerged from the terminal exhausted and eyes glazed searching for an ATM (which was nowhere to be found) we were immediately approached by a super friendly taxi fixer who led us out of the terminal and to the ATM which would have been quite hard to find on our own. .
From there he hooked us up with a taxi and introduced us to his “boss” who just so happened to run a trekking agency and joined us in the taxi... .
We know red flag for sure, but he ended up being a super friendly guy and didn’t try to sell us on anything at all. He gave us some great info for our trip to Annapurna and TJ ended up asking him for his business card because he was so helpful. .
Long story short, we will def be hitting him up to help us plan our adventure through the Annapurna Circuit. Besides this man, every local we have met has been incredibly friendly and we really feel welcome here. The dirtiness, dust, and chaos of the city will take some getting used to after two weeks in Taipei, but we love it here already. Now all we need is TJ’s little sis to arrive tomorrow and our tribe will be set for the awesome adventures that await in the weeks ahead. Who has hiked in Nepal and has some tips for these explorers? 🤠
The work we do is a reflection of who we are. If we’re sloppy at it, it’s because we’re sloppy inside. If we’re late at it, it’s because we’re late inside. If we’re bored by it, it’s because we’re bored inside, with ourselves, not with the work. The most menial work can be a piece of art when done by an artist. So the job here is not outside ourselves, but inside ourselves. How we do our work becomes a mirror of how we are inside. Robert Gerber. The E Myth.
