Obligatory post about my first Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal. I hit my 6 year mark in the Navy in March this year and couldn’t be more thankful for the craziness the Navy has given me. I’ve lived in Illinois, Texas, Florida, Italy, Cali, and now Virginia since I joined and have traveled all over the world. My job is fulfilling and my new command gives me new challenges every day. Even though I have bad days-I will never regret joining the Navy. #Navy#corpsman#corpsmanlife#travel#militarylife#10daystilltheboat
The February 2018 edition of @fastcompany is all about being optimistic, and there are a ton of great quotes that resonated with me. I am going to share a few of them this week.
People are really uncomfortable with silence. @questlove mentions in an article that we are continually numbing ourselves out with technology to achieve instant gratification. I've learned that I have to sit with decisions or information for about a day before moving forward. It has nothing to do with the person, the topic, or the outcome. I have to sit with myself and be quiet. Being quiet is an excellent thing at times.
